Marc Gasol (1985)
Gasol spent 13 seasons in the NBA and made a name for himself with the Memphis Grizzlies, spending his first 11 seasons with Memphis while making three All-Star appearances during that span.
Gasol was Defensive Player of the Year in 2013, averaging 15.2 points, 7.7 rebounds, 3.4 assists and 1.5 blocks per game throughout his Grizzlies career. The Spaniard closed his career with two seasons in Toronto and one season with the Lakers before retiring in 2021.
Greg Ballard (1955)
“Billards” was selected fourth overall in the 1977 NBA Draft by the Washington Bullets, but didn’t truly find his rhythm until his third season. The big man averaged at least 13 points per game across the next six seasons, averaging 15.9 points, 7.0 rebounds, 2.8 assists and 1.4 steals per game in that span. Ballard’s time in Washington ended in 1985, when he joined the Golden State Warriors for two seasons before wrapping up his career and retiring with the Seattle SuperSonics in 1989. He won an NBA championship with the Bullets in 1978.
