Alex English (1954)
English is regarded as one of the greatest Denver Nuggets of all time. It all started when he was the 23rd pick in the 1976 NBA Draft by the Milwaukee Bucks. He didn’t really find a home until he joined Denver in 1979, playing 11 of his final 12 seasons for the Nuggets. English made eight-straight All-Star appearances in his time with the Nuggets, leading the league with 28.4 points in 1982. He also received MVP votes in six of those seasons, ranked top three in franchise history in games played, minutes, field goals, points scored, offensive rebounds and assists. All of that earned English a Hall of Fame induction in 1997 after a remarkable 15-year career.
