2026 NBA Summer League: Standout players from Day 3

From Labaron Philon to Arthur Kaluma, check out the standouts from Day 2 of Las Vegas Summer League action.

Arthur Kaluma lights it up for 34 points in the Lakers' Summer League win over the Mavericks.

LAS VEGASThere were eight games on Day 3 of the 2026 NBA Summer League with a few teams playing back-to-back.

Some of the star rookies took a rest day and allowed others to step up in big ways. The point guard-forward tandem of Labaron Philon Jr. and Johni Broome propelled the 76ers to a close overtime win and Zuby Ejiofor, the No. 23 overall pick in the 2026 NBA Draft, was everywhere defensively for the Hawks in their win over the Nets.

Here are the other standouts on Day 3 of Summer League, including a couple second-year players who had big-time performances:

Labaron Philon Jr. and Johni Broome, Philadelphia 76ers

Labaron Philon scores 24 points as he leads the Sixers to an OT win over the Pacers.

Philon came alive in overtime and made huge plays down the stretch as the 76ers beat the Pacers, 100-93. His mid-range pull-up jumper was almost unguardable and his footwork off the first step was impressive. The 6-foot-3 point guard finished with 24 points, six assists, three rebounds and one steal in the win. This is the second game where he has been a crucial impact for the team and he’s adjusted to the NBA pace well after playing two seasons at Alabama.

Broome is in his second season and owned the paint for the 76ers. He was very streaky in the pick-and-pop, only connecting on 1-for-7 from 3-point range, but played solid defense and owned the boards. Broome finished with 23 points, 11 rebounds and three assists in 33 minutes.

Zuby Ejiofor and Kingston Flemings, Atlanta Hawks

Ejiofor was the 23rd pick in the draft after playing his senior season at St. John’s and being named the Big East Player of the Year and Big East Defensive Player of the Year. His defense of ball screens and his drop coverage off the switch translates well to the NBA and he’s finding his range offensively off the block. Ejiofor finished with 13 points, six rebounds, three blocks and two steals in the Hawks’ win over the Nets.

It wasn’t a great offensive performance for Flemings and his shot wasn’t falling, only scoring nine points (4-11 FGs) but what he did defensively was encouraging from the guard out of Houston. He got his hands on a lot of deflections and had seven defensive boards, showing two-way potential. When his shot wasn’t falling, he found ways to create for his teammates, adding five assists in the win.

Trevor Keels, Miami Heat

Keels had the hot hand and put on a shooting clinic. It wasn’t enough to propel the Heat over Magic in the 93-88 loss. Keels was the No. 42 pick in the 2022 NBA Draft and has played limited minutes with the Knicks and Heat during the NBA season. The 6-foot-5 shooting guard finished with 32 points in 30 minutes and went 6-for-10 from 3-point range. He also added four rebounds and two assists and only committed one turnover.

Chaney Johnson, Brooklyn Nets

Johnson finished with 20 points (9-13 from the field) and had two impressive dunks. The Nets came up short, falling to the Hawks 83-76, but there were some bright moments for the second-year forward. The Nets were without Egor Demin and Mikel Brown Jr., and Johnson got a lot of offensive touches in the paint and was everywhere defensively. He also finished with 10 rebounds and five steals in his second Summer League game.

 Arthur Kaluma, Los Angeles Lakers

The second-year player out of Texas did a little bit of everything in the final game of Day 3. He finished with a game-high 34 points and added five rebounds in the 91-70 win over the Mavericks. The 6-foot-8 forward also hit six 3s and was 11-for-16 from the field. Kaluma had 18 points last night against the Thunder and appeared to have fresh legs with how well he ran the floor and finished through contact.
