AJ Dybantsa and the Washington Wizards defeated the Utah Jazz to open the 2026 NBA Summer League.

Welcome to 2026 NBA Summer League, featuring all 30 teams!

The Timberwolves pulled away from the Pelicans late to open our summer action, led by Zyon Pullin (24 pts, 8 reb, 12 ast).

The Hawks kept their strong form from Salt Lake City going, leading wire-to-wire to beat the Spurs in the second game of the day, as seven players scored in double figures.

The 76ers dominated the glass to defeat the Pistons, as Johni Broome (19 pts, 13 reb) put up a monster double-double to overcome No. 17 pick Ebuka Okorie (20 pts).

Yaxel Lendeborg (21 pts, 10 reb, 6 ast) made another strong statement, as he and the Warriors defeated his Michigan teammate Morez Johnson Jr. (27 pts, 8 reb) and the Mavericks.

AJ Dybantsa (27 pts) outdid Darryn Peterson (24 pts) in front of a fired-up crowd at the Thomas & Mack Center, winning a duel of the top two picks in the 2026 NBA Draft and earning the Wizards a victory over the Jazz.

Emanuel Sharpe (21 pts, 3 3PM) and Darius Acuff Jr. (19 pts, 7 ast) led the Kings to a win over the Clippers to cap the day, as Sacramento held LA to 33.3% shooting and stayed unbeaten this summer.

JULY 10 / 1:19 a.m. ET

Kings win 91-85

Emanuel Sharp (21 pts, 3 3PM) and Darius Acuff Jr. (19 pts, 7 ast, 2 stl) led Sacramento to a victory, earning their first victory in Vegas and continuing their unbeaten streak this summer.

“Too inefficient,” said Acuff Jr., who was 6-for-20 from the field. “Got to make more shots in a row and get my teammates involved more… I’m going to be better. I know that by myself.”

But Acuff Jr.’s speed was a consistent thorn in the side of the Clippers, while Sharpe’s pressure defense made life difficult for No. 5 pick Keaton Wagler (5 pts, 2 reb, 1 ast).

“Impressive, impressive tandem of guards on Sacramento,” said Doris Burke.

Dylan Cardwell (15 pts, 9 reb, 2 blk) held down the middle for the Kings, who held the Clippers to 33.3% shooting.

Cam Christie (15 pts) led LA in scoring.

JULY 10 / 12:47 a.m. ET

Kings up 70-58 after three

Dylan Cardwell (15 pts, 9 reb, team-high +18) leads Sacramento in scoring as we near the finish of the first day of the 2026 NBA Summer League.

Darius Acuff Jr. (14 pts, 6 ast) has been pushing the ball in transition, albeit not shooting the ball incredibly, in this battle of top-10 picks. Keaton Wagler (7 pts, 2 reb, 1 ast) has made some nice passes, flashing potential as a playmaker, but has been battling the Kings’ defense.

Sacramento has 19 assists on 24 shots, while their defense is holding LA to 28.6% shooting from the field.

JULY 10 / 12:35 a.m. ET

Kings GM Scott Perry discusses his team

Perry, formerly the general manager of the New York Knicks from 2017-23, spoke to the direction of the Kings with ESPN’s Dave Pasch and Doris Burke.

“We want to be one of the hardest-playing teams in the league,” said Perry. “We want to make sure, win lose or draw, the opponent that we’re playing against, they’re in for a full fight.”

JULY 10 / 12:07 a.m. ET

Kings lead 44-41 at the half

Darius Acuff Jr. (12 pts, 4 ast) got loose in the second quarter, leading this tough Kings squad to a halftime lead.

Jonathan Mogbo (5 pts, 1 stl) is one of them — he’s leading Sacramento in scoring.

“We’ve got to stay aggressive,” said Mogbo. “And I think it’ll be fun.”

Darius Acuff Jr. (3 pts) knocked down this 3-pointer to open his time in Vegas.

“Every time I play against (Peterson) it’s a battle,” said Dybantsa. “He’s beaten me three times — this is my first win.”

Tre Johnson (26 pts) also flashed his silky jumper, while Will Riley (18 pts) helped take the Wizards home in the fourth quarter.

“It’s a team game. There’s five players on the court,” said Dybantsa. “I think it’s fun to play when everybody’s eating, not just one guy killing.”

Cody Williams (16 pts, 5 reb, 2 stl) also made his presence felt in this high-profile contest.

The Wizards led by as many as 20, earning a 15-6 advantage in fast break points, before the Jazz rallied late.

JULY 9 / 2:15 p.m. ET

New rule in play for Summer League

This summer, we’ll be testing the one free throw rule, which has been in place in the G League since the 2019-20 season.

The G League and Summer League have often served as testing labs for the league before bringing rule changes or amended policies into NBA games.

Among those that started at those levels and eventually got to the NBA: the coaches’ challenge, resetting the 24-second shot clock to 14 seconds in offensive rebound situations and the one-shot award for a transition take foul — which is when a defender intentionally commits a foul to halt a transition opportunity for the opposition.

The 2026 Summer League will also use a “connected basketball,” which contains a sensor that detects contact with the ball.
