Steve Kerr said it’s possible Stephen Curry will get another MRI after consulting with Rick Celebrini, the team’s lead medical decision-maker.
Warriors big man Kristaps Porziņģis made his team debut Thursday night when they faced off against the Celtics, but Stephen Curry will reportedly miss additional time due to a knee injury.
Porziņģis finished with 12 points on 5-for-9 shooting in 17 minutes in Golden State’s 121-110 loss to Boston.
ESPN’s Shams Charania and Anthony Slater reported Thursday that Curry could miss at least five games after the season resumes.

Slater reported Wednesday night that Curry was unable to participate in a live scrimmage and it is unclear when he’ll be able to return to the lineup.
“Just wasn’t where he needed to be,” Kerr said per ESPN’s Anthony Slater. “It’s unfortunate. We’ll have an update tomorrow after he goes through his time with the training staff.”
Kerr said it’s possible that Curry will need to get another MRI after consulting with Dr. Rick Celebrini.
Porziņģis, acquired from Atlanta in exchange for Jonathan Kuminga at the trade deadline, has dealt with both illness and Achilles tendonitis this season. He’s averaging 17.1 points and 5.1 rebounds in 17 games this season.
