LAS VEGAS — Ajay Mitchell’s crisp 20-point performance spearheaded a solid collective offensive effort that propelled the Oklahoma City Thunder to a 90-81 win over the Brooklyn Nets in an NBA 2K26 Summer League battle at Thomas and Mack Center in Las Vegas on Thursday.
The Thunder set a dominant tone on both ends of the court early by forging a 22-15 lead through the first 10 minutes, but the Nets were able to match OKC bucket for bucket in the second quarter to keep their deficit at seven heading into intermission.
However, the Thunder’s defense continued to be a strong suit throughout the second half, limiting Brooklyn to a combined 44 points over the last two quarters. OKC enjoyed a particularly large advantage in the paint, outscoring the Nets in that part of the floor by a 48-32 margin while also doubling them up in fast break points, 18-9.
