Maxwell Lewis’ near-perfect shooting effort and a suffocating defensive performance spearheaded the Dallas Mavericks’ comfortable 92-69 win over the Orlando Magic in an NBA 2K26 Summer League consolation game at Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas on Friday.

The first half served as a fitting representation of how the game would unfold, as the Mavericks held the Magic, who shot only 32.1% overall, to 16 points over the first 10 minutes and went on to forge a 48-32 lead by halftime. That already convincing advantage had ballooned to 24 points by the start of the final period, and Orlando wasn’t able to make any inroads the rest of the way. Dallas held as much as a 26-point edge at one point and never trailed, and the Mavericks’ second unit outscored the Magic’s by a 56-40 margin.

Lewis’ 18 points led the Mavericks. Matthew Cleveland furnished 17 points, four rebounds, two steals and one block. Nolan Hickman supplied 13 points, two assists, one rebound and one steal. Aliou Diarra generated a 12-point, 11-rebound double-double that also included two assists and one block.

Wendell Moore Jr. paced the Magic with 14 points and eight rebounds. Jaden Akins registered 11 points, four boards and three steals. Zach Freemantle tallied 10 points and four rebounds.
