LAS VEGAS — Hugo Gonzalez flirted with a triple-double, Amari Williams had 23-points and 13 rebounds and the Boston Celtics found a way to beat the Toronto Raptors, 83-80, in overtime at 2026 NBA Summer League on Friday.
Gonzalez, the No. 28 pick in the 2025 NBA Draft, finished with 17 points, 10 rebounds and eight assists.
Both Boston and Toronto struggled massively on offense in the first half of the game.
The Raptors were a bit better, however, and they marched into halftime with a 34-26 lead. However, Boston responded in the third quarter, playing with more intensity and outscoring Toronto 28-20 to even things up.
Toronto had a three-point lead in the final seconds, but Chris Cenac Jr. hit a corner 3 for Boston with 0.8 seconds left in the fourth to force overtime.
There were 12 lead changes throughout regulation, and eight of those happened in the fourth quarter.
John Tonje finished with 20 points, five boards, three steals and two assists for the Celtics. Cenac Jr. added 14 points off the bench.
First-round pick Allen Graves notched 22 points and 13 rebounds for the Raptors. Chucky Hepburn added 11 points and five assists.
The Raptors will play the second leg of a back-to-back Saturday against the Houston Rockets (9:30 ET, Prime Video).
As for the Celtics, they’ll take on the Charlotte Hornets on Sunday (5 ET, ESPN2).
