Kevin Martin (1983)
Kevin Martin was known for his unorthodox shooting form, but it never stopped him from getting buckets. Selected 26th overall in the 2004 NBA Draft by the Sacramento Kings, K-Mart spent his first six seasons in Sacramento, breaking out with 20.2 points per game in his third year. That was the first of five consecutive seasons where he averaged at least 20 points. Martin was traded to the Houston Rockets in 2009 as part of the deal for James Harden, where he continued his scoring ways for three seasons. He went on to play for the Oklahoma City Thunder, Minnesota Timberwolves, and San Antonio Spurs, retiring in 2016. Over his 12-year career, Martin averaged 17.4 points, 3.2 rebounds, 1.9 assists, and 0.9 steals per game, while finishing 33rd all-time in free throw percentage at 87%.
Dick Snyder (1944)
Snyder was a standout at Davidson University before being selected 14th overall in the 1966 NBA Draft by the St. Louis Hawks. After spending two seasons in St. Louis and two years in Phoenix, “the Duck” really found a home with the Seattle SuperSonics in 1969. He averaged a career-high 19.4 points in his first full season with Seattle, spending the next six seasons with the SuperSonics. Snyder averaged 16.2 points, 3.7 rebounds, 4.0 assists and 1.2 steals in that first stint with Seattle. He closed his career by spending four years with the Cleveland Cavaliers but retired with the SuperSonics in 1979 having won a title that final season.
