Bailey Howell (1937)
The Garbageman is far from an impressive nickname but a Hall-of-Fame career is all you need to know about this gritty player. Howell was the second overall pick in the 1959 NBA Draft, spending his first five seasons with the Detroit Pistons. The feisty forward really broke out his sophomore season, appearing in his first of six All-Star Games in a seven-year span. He also played at least 75 games in all 12 years of his career, playing for the Baltimore Bullets, Boston Celtics and Philadelphia 76ers after that. Howell was a key piece to the Boston team that won titles in 1968 and 1969, with the big man averaging 18.7 points and 9.9 rebounds throguhgout his Hall-of-Fame career. He also finished Top 20 in scoring nine times and Top 20 in rebounds eight times throughout his 12-year career.
Jason Richardson (1981)
Richardson averaged 17.1 points, 5.0 rebounds, 2.7 assists and 1.2 steals during his 13-year NBA career. It all started when Richardson was selected fifth overall in the 2001 NBA Draft, finishing third in Rookie of the Year voting in that debut season with the Golden State Warriors. He spent six years with the Warriors, averaging 18.3 points, 5.4 rebounds, 3.2 assists and 1.2 steals during that span. After that, J-Rich suited up for the Charlotte Hornets, Phoenix Suns, Orlando Magic and Philadelphia 76ers. He retired in 2015 and is known as one of the greatest players to never make an All-Star team. The high-flyer also participated in three Slam Dunk Contests between 2002 and 2004, taking down two of those.
Tyler Herro (2000)
Herro was selected 13th overall in the 2018 NBA Draft out of Kentucky and has spent his full five-year career with the Miami Heat. This elite scorer has improved every year, taking down Sixth Man of the Year in 2021. He also led the league with a 93.4 percent mark from the free-throw line the following season but is currently amid the best season of his career. Herro is averaging 23.6 points, 5.6 rebounds, 5.0 assists and 0.7 steals as Miami’s primary playmaker this season.
