Larry Smith was a presence during his 13 years in the NBA, establishing himself as one of the best rebounders of his era. The big man was selected 24th overall by the Golden State Warriors in the 1980 NBA Draft, finishing third in Rookie of the Year voting in his debut season.
He spent his first nine seasons with the Warriors, averaging 8.5 points, 10.4 rebounds, 1.2 assists, 0.8 steals and 0.6 blocks per game in that span. He played three seasons with the Houston Rockets between 1989 and 1992 before retiring with the San Antonio Spurs in 1993. Smith finished Top 20 in rebounds per game seven times throughout his career and led the league in offensive rebounds in 1985.
