David Lee (1983)

Lee didn’t come into the league with much pedigree as the 30th pick in the 2005 NBA Draft, but he carved out an incredible 12-year career. The Knicks selected him with that final pick in the first round, with Lee spending his first five seasons in the Big Apple. He really broke out in his sophomore season, finishing fourth in Sixth Man of the Year voting. Lee also received votes the following year, which eventually led to Lee making an All-Star appearance in 2010. That was Lee’s final season with the Knicks, playing the next five seasons for the Golden State Warriors.

Dubs fans loved the big man immediately, with Lee making another All-Star team in 2013. He also finished 12th in MVP voting that year, averaging 18.5 points and 11.2 rebounds per game. The big man closed his career with one-year stints in Boston, Dallas and San Antonio before officially retiring in 2017. While it was his last full season in Golden State, Lee won a championship with them in 2015. He averaged 13.5 points, 8.8 rebounds and 2.2 assists throughout his 12-year career.
