Kenny Beecham turns love for basketball into new NBA 'Trivia Show' series

Enjoy Basketball will be collaborating with the NBA to produce a 3-episode original content series called the “Trivia Show”.

The NBA and Enjoy Basketball team up for a one-of-a-kind content experience.

Kenny Beecham couldn’t live out his NBA dreams as a player, but he never lost his connection to the game – or the belief that there was more than one way to be a part of it. That idea became the foundation of Enjoy Basketball, a brand Beecham built on making the game fun for everyone. Now, he’s bringing that same message to a new collaboration with the league.

At the heart of the partnership is a three-episode original series called “Enjoy the NBA Trivia Show,” which will be distributed across the NBA app, NBA TV and Enjoy Basketball’s YouTube channels. The show invites fans to play along with Beecham and his life-long friends, Pierre Andresen, Mike Heard and Darrick Miller, as they test their basketball knowledge through trivia questions tied to the season’s biggest moments.

“I feel like I need to pinch myself because this is a lifelong dream,” Beecham said. “I’m excited to see this all come to life, and at the end of the day, I hope to come out of this with some super cool content.”

Basketball has always been a part of Beecham’s life. He grew up learning the game from his uncle, a former college player who sparked his passion. However, when he realized playing professionally probably wasn’t in the cards, he found other ways to stay involved with the sport.

“I was like, ‘Ok, I can’t be a player, but what else can I do?’” Beecham said. “I would watch Bulls games and act as a color commentator, study matchups, and keep stats. I just needed to be in the space.”

That drive eventually led him to content creation. Inspired by YouTubers like Chris Smooth, who mixed gaming and basketball content in a way that captivated him, Beecham started posting his own, and what began as a pastime quickly showed its potential.

“I had a video go mega viral of me guessing NBA logos,” Beecham said. “As simple as it sounds, so many people loved that video. I realized that this could be something more than just a hobby.”

As his platform continued to grow, so did his vision. That’s when he partnered with brothers Cole and Cody Hock to build something bigger: a full-scale media brand rooted in the intersection of basketball and entertainment. Together, they launched Enjoy Basketball in 2022, a company dedicated to making the game accessible, entertaining and community-driven.

“We started with a merch drop and then created a newsletter, but I said, ‘What if we just become a full-on content group?’” Beecham said. “Podcasts, YouTube videos, social … and that’s what really helped us get to this point.”

Podcasts such as “Numbers on the Board” and “Small Ball with Kenny Beecham” as well as the more recent launch “WAG Talk,” a social media series, have turned Enjoy Basketball into a hub for millions of basketball fans. They recently partnered with the Charlotte Hornets, creating the first episode of a series called “Access Granted,” giving fans a behind-the-scenes look at a day in the life of an NBA rookie.

“I think it’s a breath of fresh air for viewers and readers,” Beecham said, “because we are truly fans of the sport of basketball before anything.”

On April 10, Enjoy Basketball will host an alternate telecast for the Pistons-Hornets game on the NBA App and League Pass, and this summer, Beecham will appear at the NBA Creator Cup.

“The NBA App and NBA TV serve as a hub for a wide range of compelling basketball programming, and this collaboration with Enjoy Basketball underscores the NBA’s commitment to celebrating the game and educating fans in new ways,” said Louis Gilbert, NBA Associate Vice President and Strategic Content Initiatives Lead. “Kenny Beecham and the Enjoy Basketball team have built an authentic connection with a new generation of fans, and we’re excited to bring that perspective to audiences across NBA platforms.”

For Beecham, this partnership marks a full-circle moment, turning his lifelong love of basketball into an opportunity to share his brand and message on the sport’s biggest stage.

“This partnership means the world to us because when you think about what our brand is, there is no better partner or collaborator than the league itself,” Beecham said. “The NBA recognizes our voice and message and allows us to express that.”
