Pre-Draft Outlook
After pulling off one of the greatest in-season turnarounds in NBA history — overcoming a 6-21 start to finish above .500 at 42-40 — the Clippers’ good fortune ran out in the postseason as they were eliminated in the SoFi NBA Play-In Tournament. Then came the NBA Draft Lottery, where the Clippers emerged as one of the biggest winners of the night. With Indiana falling out of the top four, the Clippers acquired their pick (No. 5 overall) as part of the trade that sent Ivica Zubac from LA to Indiana earlier this year.
The Way to Go
With the 2026 Draft class bursting with top-tier potential — even beyond the consensus top four of AJ Dybantsa, Darryn Peterson, Cam Boozer, and Caleb Wilson — the Clippers are in a great position to bolster their roster with a potential star. If they look to add a guard to slot in next to Darius Garland, keep an eye on prospects like Brayden Burries, Keaton Wagler and Darius Acuff Jr.
