Pre-Draft Outlook

The resilience, hope, stubbornness, or gullibility of Chicago Bulls fans should never be underestimated when it comes to offseason makeovers. Another disappointing, aimless season finally led to the dismissal of executive VP of basketball operations Arturas Karnisovas and GM Marc Eversley. As much as ownership favored coach Billy Donovan, he resigned and was replaced by former Blazers interim coach Tiago Splitter in June. The Bulls’ streak of three Play-In appearances ended, too. All it took for Chicago to perk up, though, was popping fourth in the draft lottery. The Bulls have another first-round pick, too, fortunate because their talent cupboard is pretty bare.

The Way to Go

New basketball boss Bryson Graham will oversee an almost-complete rebuild. He has picks and cap space to fill the roster to match his vision. Chicago is the only team with two picks in the first 15 picks and the No. 4 selection is the obvious prize, with Caleb Wilson or Cameron Boozer slotted in at that spot in many mock drafts. Perimeter shooting and more frontline help are itches to scratch with their remaining picks.
