AS A PROFESSIONAL: Towns appeared in 62 games (all starts) with the Minnesota Timberwolves last season, recording 21.8 points (50.4% FG; 41.6% 3PT), 8.3 rebounds, and 3.0 assists over 32.7 minutes. Last season marked his fifth season (2017-22 and 2023-24) averaging 20+ points on at least 50-percent shooting from the field and at least 40-percent from three, only trailing Kevin Durant (six) for the most such seasons in the NBA (since 1979). Towns' 41.6-percent three-point shooting last season was his second-highest three-point shooting percentage of his career (2017-18: 42.1% 3P%) and fifth time he’s shot at least 40-percent from the three-point line. He recorded a career-high 62 points (60.0% FG; 66.7% 3PT), including 44 points in the first half, eight rebounds, two assists and 10 three-pointers vs. Charlotte (Jan 22, 2024). Last season, Towns was selected to the NBA All-Star game for the fourth time in his career (2018, 2019, 2022, and 2024) and became the fourth player in NBA history to record 50 or more points and the first player to record 30 or more points in one quarter in an All-Star Game.
