Well-rounded performance in victory
Anunoby made his fourth appearance following a nine-game absence due to a left hamstring strain, delivering his best game since the extended absence. The 28-year-old forward logged a season-high 40 minutes and finished as New York's third-leading scorer behind Jalen Brunson (40) and Karl-Anthony Towns (29). Anunoby also tied the team-high mark in steals and has recorded multiple swipes in three consecutive contests. He has scored 20-plus points in two of those three outings.

Drops 29 points in win
After shooting just 4-for-11 from the field in Tuesday's win over Toronto, Towns bounced back with an extremely efficient performance against Orlando. The star big man totaled 32 points in his previous two outings, though he dropped at least 29 points for the third time in five appearances during December on Saturday. He has averaged 25.0 points, 11.6 rebounds, 2.8 assists and 1.0 steals across 32.4 minutes per tilt this month.

Erupts for 40 points in win
Brunson dropped a game- and season-high 40 points, including 25 on 10-of-17 shooting in the first half. The star point guard has scored 30-plus points in four consecutive contests, shooting 55.8 percent from the field during that span. He also dished out a game-high eight assists and has reached that mark in two of his last three outings. Brunson and the Knicks will now look toward the NBA Cup Championship on Tuesday, where they will face the winner of Saturday's Spurs vs. Thunder matchup.
