PERSONAL LIFE

D’Angelo is the son of Antonio Russell and Keisha Rowe. He has four siblings: Antonio Russell, Lashaun Gilliam, Tayshaun Brown, and Cloee Russell. He attended Montverde Academy in Florida, helping the team to a 27-2 record as a junior before going 28-0 as a senior and winning the National High School Invitational championship both years. The athlete he most admires outside of the NBA is Muhammad Ali. He lists his greatest personal achievement as making it to the NBA. Will Smith is his favorite actor and J. Cole is his favorite musician. In the off-season, D’Angelo enjoys paintballing. After he retires from the NBA, he wants to become a broadcaster.
