Giannis Antetokounmpo is among the Bucks’ all-time leaders in playoff games played.
The Milwaukee Bucks have made the playoffs 36 times in their franchise history, winning two NBA titles. Let’s highlight their top five all-time leaders in playoff games played.
1. Sidney Moncrief, 88 Games
The Bucks selected Moncrief with the fifth pick in the 1979 Draft. He then spent the next 10 seasons with the franchise. He made five All-Star teams along the way and was named the Kia Defensive Player of the Year twice. The farthest that Moncrief advanced in the playoffs was the Eastern Conference Finals. Across his 88 playoff games with the franchise, he averaged 16.5 points, 5.1 rebounds and 3.6 assists.
2. Khris Middleton, 80 Games
Middleton spent one season with the Pistons before joining the Bucks ahead of the 2013-14 season. He has since averaged at least 20 points per game in a season four times and made three All-Star teams. He won a championship with the Bucks in the 2020-21 season, averaging 23.6 points during that playoff run. Over his 80 career playoff games, Middleton has averaged 20.6 points, 6.5 rebounds, 4.8 assists and 1.2 steals.
3. Giannis Antetokounmpo, 79 Games
The Bucks selected Antetokounmpo with the 15th pick in the 2013 Draft, which has turned out to be one of the best decisions in franchise history. He has been named NBA MVP twice and won the Kia Defensive Player of the Year Award in the 2019-20 season. Antetokounmpo dominated on the way to winning a title during the 2020-21 season, averaging 30.2 points, 12.8 rebounds and 5.1 assists in the playoffs. Over 79 career playoff games, he has averaged 26.6 points, 12.0 rebounds and 5.2 assists. Still a member of the Bucks and in the prime of his career, Antetokounmpo should continue to move his way up this list.
4. Brook Lopez, 71 Games
Lopez played for the Nets and Lakers before joining the Bucks for the 2018-19 season. After barely attempting shots from behind the arc at the beginning of his career, Lopez has averaged at least 1.4 made three-pointers in every season with the Bucks. He is an excellent rim protector, too, which helped him finish inside the top-10 in Kia Defensive Player of the Year voting twice. Lopez was also a member of the 2020-21 championship squad. Over 71 career playoff games with the Bucks, Lopez has averaged 13.4 points, 1.3 three-pointers and 1.5 blocks. Like Middleton and Antetokounmpo, Lopez is still a member of the Bucks.
5. Pat Connaughton, 70 Games
Connaughton joined the Bucks prior to the 2018-19 campaign after playing the first three seasons of his career with the Trail Blazers. He has mostly come off the bench, never averaging more than 26 minutes per game. He’s averaged 6.9 points and 4.7 rebounds in the playoffs, so far. Connaughton was a member of the 2020-21 title team and is also still on the current Bucks squad.
