DeAndre Jordan has grabbed more than 7,000 rebounds as a member of the LA Clippers.
The Clippers franchise had two previous homes before relocating to Los Angeles in 1984. Founded in 1970 as the Buffalo Braves, the team played eight seasons in upstate New York before relocating to San Diego in 1978 and rebranding as the Clippers. After six seasons in San Diego, the franchise moved north to Los Angeles, where it has spent the past four-plus decades.
From “Lob City” to the current era in Inglewood, the Clippers have provided highlights that still feel fresh.
They have three division titles to their name, with the most recent coming in 2024. Let’s take a look at some of the top rebounders from the LA Clippers franchise:
1. DeAndre Jordan – 7,988 rebounds
An 18-year NBA veteran, Jordan made a lasting impact on the LA Clippers franchise as one half of the “Lob City” frontline duo alongside Blake Griffin. The Clippers selected him in the second round of the 2008 NBA Draft.
Jordan spent 10 seasons with the Clippers, where he averaged 10.7 rebounds per game. His best rebounding season came in 2014, when he snagged 15.2 rpg. Jordan made an All-Star team during the 2017 NBA season.
2. Ivica Zubac – 4,771 rebounds
After spending three seasons with the crosstown rival Lakers, Zubac was traded to the Clippers, where he played the ensuing eight.
During his time with the Clippers, Zubac averaged 6.3 rpg, with his best rebounding season coming during the 2024-25 campaign. He averaged 12.6 rebounds, with 8.9 of them being defensive boards.
Zubac developed into a solid double-double machine before being traded to the Indiana Pacers at the 2026 trade deadline.
3. Elton Brand – 4,710 rebounds
Selected No. 1 overall by the Chicago Bulls in the 1999 NBA Draft, Brand was traded in 2001 to the LA Clippers, where he thrived.
In seven seasons with the Clippers, Brand made two All-Star teams and averaged 6.4 rebounds per game. He finished in the top 10 for Defensive Player of the Year voting during his 2005 All-Star season.
4. Blake Griffin – 4,686 rebounds
Another No. 1 overall pick, the LA Clippers selected Griffin in the 2009 NBA Draft. He missed his rookie season due to injury, but made an immediate impact upon returning.
Griffin won the 2010 Rookie of the Year award, becoming the fourth LA Clipper to do so. He made five All-Star teams with the Clippers, pairing with Jordan to form the “Lob City” frontline duo.
In Griffin’s eight seasons with the Clippers, he averaged 9.3 rebounds per game, with his highest average being his first active season in 2010, at 12.1 rpg.
5. Loy Vaught – 4,471 rebounds
The No. 13 pick by the LA Clippers in the 1990 NBA Draft, Vaught spent eight seasons with the Clippers, where he averaged 8.0 rebounds per game. His best rebounding season came in 1995-96, when he averaged 10.1 rpg.
