Four-time NBA champion Draymond Green headlines our March 4 birthday celebrations.

With over 5,000 players in NBA history, at least one player was born on every day of the calendar year – including four Leap Day ballers. Our day-by-day breakdown of the players born on each day of the year continues.

Below are the most notable NBA players born on March 4:

Draymond Green (1990)

Green was a force during his college career at Michigan State University, but he fell to the 35th pick in the 2012 NBA Draft by the Golden State Warriors.

Green has spent his entire 13-year career in the Bay, receiving numerous accolades along the way. Not only does he have four All-Star appearances, but he’s also helped the Warriors win four titles. He’s also been an eight-time All-Defensive player, winning Defensive Player of the Year in 2017. He led the league in steals that year, finishing as the runner-up in the two years prior as well. The four championships are backed by his impressive stat-stuffing, with Green averaging 8.7 points, 6.9 rebounds, 5.6 assists, 1.3 steals and 1.0 blocks throughout his storied career.

Kevin Johnson (1966)

‘K.J.’ was a standout during the 90s, spending most of his career with the Phoenix Suns. Johnson was selected seventh overall in the 1987 NBA Draft by the Cleveland Cavaliers, but he was traded to the Suns midway through his rookie campaign in 1987-88.

That was a blessing for Johnson, as he was voted Most Improved Player in his first full year in the desert for the 1988-89 season. The California product also finished eighth in MVP voting that year, and was a three-time All-Star and a five-time All-NBA selection. Johnson spent the lion’s share of his 12 pro seasons with the Suns, averaging 17.9 points, 3.3 rebounds, 9.1 assists and 1.5 steals across 735 games in his career. He was also elected as the mayor of Sacramento after his playing career.
