NBA birthdays: Players born on March 2

Check out the most notable NBA players born on March 2.

Jonas Jerebko made it to the NBA Finals with the Golden State Warriors in 2019.

With over 5,000 players in NBA history, at least one player was born on every day of the calendar year – including four Leap Day ballers. Our day-by-day breakdown of the players born on each day of the year continues.

Below is the most notable NBA player born on March 2.

Jonas Jerebko (1987)

Only eight NBA players have been born on March 2. Jerebko is one of them, and he established himself as perhaps the best player to make it to the league out of Sweden. The power forward was the 39th pick in the 2009 NBA Draft by the Pistons. That was a great landing spot for the Swedish big man, who played his first five seasons in Detroit. Jerebko produced the best stretch of his career in the Motor City, averaging 7.2 points, 4.3 rebounds, 0.7 assists and 0.7 steals per game.

Jerebko joined the Boston Celtics in 2014, playing the next three seasons in Beantown. He closed his career by playing one season each for the Utah Jazz followed by the Golden State Warriors before officially retiring in 2019. Jerebko is one of five Swedish players to suit up in the NBA, leading all of them in games played, points scored, rebounds, assists, steals and blocks.
