The Phoenix Suns defeated the Portland Trail Blazers, 111-87, in the NBA 2K26 Summer League at Cox Pavilion on Saturday.
There were five ties and seven lead changes in the opening half, but Phoenix never relinquished the lead in the second half. They took command of this game with a 30-14 second quarter and then cemented their win behind a 62-48 second half.
The Suns shot 51% from the field and 42% from 3-point range while holding the Blazers to 40% from the field and 24% from long range. Phoenix dominated down low, out-rebounding Portland, 43-35, while outscoring them in the paint, 56-42. They also forced 20 turnovers from the Trail Blazers, thanks to the Suns 14 steals.
The Trail Blazers (3-2) were led by Rayan Rupert, who registered 14 points, eight rebounds and four assists. Dmytro Skapintsev amassed 12 points, six rebounds, four assists and three blocks. Caleb Love collected 11 points, four rebounds and two assists, while James Bouknight had 10 points, five rebounds and two blocks.
The Suns (2-3) were led by Khalif Battle, who compiled 21 points, four rebounds and five assists. CJ Huntley had 18 points, nine rebounds, two steals and two blocks. Boogie Ellis amassed 19 points, five rebounds, six assists and two steals, while Alex Schumacher led the bench with 16 points, three rebounds, six assists and two steals.
