Blistering shooting efforts from Tyler Burton, Javon Small and Nate Hinton propelled the Memphis Grizzlies to a resounding 105-82 win over the Los Angeles Clippers in an NBA 2K26 Summer League consolation game at Thomas and Mack Center in Las Vegas on Sunday evening.
The first quarter of the consolation clash proved to be extremely deceiving, as the Clippers exited the opening period with a 23-22 lead that seemed to portend a buzzer-to-buzzer affair was in the order. However, the dynamic of the game changed for good during a one-sided second quarter in which the Grizzlies enjoyed a 33-11 advantage. Memphis’ edge grew by another six points in the third period, making the final 10 minutes largely a formality. The Grizzlies were ahead by as much as 32 at one point, and they outscored the Clippers in fast-break and bench points by respective 30-18 and 54-19 margins.
Burton shot 57.1% on his way to a team-high 20 points, which he supplemented with seven rebounds, three assists, two steals and one block. Small drained 55.6% of his attempts – including 60.0% from 3-point range – and finished with 17 points, adding nine assists, four rebounds and a steal. Hinton accounted for 15 points spearheaded by a 5-for-6 tally from the floor, and also provided six rebounds and two assists. Phlandrous Fleming Jr. furnished 11 points, four rebounds, one assist and one steal.
Jordan Miller paced the Clippers with a game-high 24 points, complementing them with six rebounds, two assists and one steal. Cam Christie delivered 15 points, five boards, two assists and two steals. Patrick Baldwin Jr. recorded 10 points, three boards and two assists.
