LAS VEGAS — An impressively balanced performance from 2024 first-round pick Jaylon Tyson and a highly productive effort from the second unit vaulted the Cleveland Cavaliers to a 92-72 win over the Miami Heat in an NBA2K26 Summer League battle at Cox Pavilion in Las Vegas on Sunday night.

The comfortable margin of victory for the Cavaliers would have been difficult to envision in the first half, when Cleveland was only able to build a modest 44-41 lead. However, the dynamic of the game shifted in the Cavs’ favor in the third quarter, a period during which they enjoyed a 30-13 advantage fueled by a 14-5 run over the first half of the quarter. Miami hurt its own cause significantly with 24 turnovers and was also outscored in the paint and on the second unit by respective 50-28 and 36-16 margins.

Kel’el Ware was a bright spot for the Heat in the lopsided loss, as he led the way with 21 points while adding nine rebounds, three blocks and one steal. Pelle Larsson delivered 14 points, three rebounds, two assists and one steal. Erik Stevenson supplied 10 points, five boards, one assist and one steal.

Tyson paced the Cavaliers with 21 points of his own, supplementing them with six rebounds, five assists, two steals and one block. Tristan Enaruna registered a second-unit-high 19 points and added four rebounds, two assists, three steals and one block. Nae’Qwan Tomlin finished with 11 points, six assists, four rebounds, three steals and one block. Norchad Omier provided 10 points, eight rebounds and one steal.

The Heat are back in action Monday night against the Celtics, while the Cavaliers are off until Wednesday afternoon, when they’ll face the Sacramento Kings.
