A thoroughly dominant second quarter and matching 18-point efforts from Xavier Moon and Jordan Bowden led the Los Angeles Clippers to an 80-70 victory over the Sacramento Kings in the NBA 2K24 Summer League at Thomas and Mack Center on Monday night.
A hotly contested first quarter that the Clippers emerged from with a slim 17-16 edge gave way to a one-sided second period during which Los Angeles changed the dynamic of the game with a 27-9 advantage. The 19-point halftime lead was whittled down to 12 during the third quarter thanks to Sacramento’s standout defense, but L.A. nearly matched the Kings bucket for bucket over the final 10 minutes to record the double-digit win.
Rookie second-round pick Colby Jones led the Kings with 19 points, complementing them with nine rebounds, two assists, two steals and two blocks. Keon Ellis filled out the stat sheet with 16 points, seven rebounds, five assists and three steals. Kessler Edwards contributed nine points, four rebounds and two assists.

Rookie first-round selection Kobe Brown delivered 12 points, eight boards, one assist, two steals and one block.
The Kings are back in action Tuesday night against the Bulls, while the Clippers return to the floor Wednesday afternoon versus the Grizzlies.
