What We Know About Saturday’s Games

-Pistons Defeat Timberwolves on ABC/ESPN: Detroit has one of the best defenses in the NBA and it was on full display in this matchup. The Pistons shot 52 percent from the field and 39 percent from 3-point range while holding the Timberwolves to 32 percent from the field and 21 percent from long range.

-Suns-Jazz Close the Night: In a light night across the NBA, we have Phoenix and Utah closing out the night. The Suns still sit seventh in the Western Conference despite losing six of their last seven games. Utah has lost eight of its last nine outings.

-Hawks Look to Remain Hot Against the Kings: Atlanta has been one of the best teams in the NBA over the last month, entering this matchup winning 14 of their last 16 outings. Sacramento sits last in the Western Conference with a 19-55 record.

Sacramento shot 52 percent from the field and 50 percent from 3-point range in that opening frame.

Maxime Raynaud leads them with seven points and four rebounds.

Jalen Johnson leads ATL with nine points and two assists.

Pistons Defeat Timberwolves, 109-87

Detroit shot 52 percent from the field and 39 percent from 3-point range while holding Minnesota to 32 percent from the field and 21 percent from long range.

Tobias Harris led the Pistons with 18 points, four rebounds, four assists and three blocks.

Jalen Duren had 10 points, 13 rebounds and five assists.

Donte DiVincenzo led Minnesota with 22 points, three rebounds, two assists and two blocks.

Charlotte has held the lead for the whole of the first half.

The Hornets recorded 10 offensive rebounds while the Sixers had just three.

Brandon Miller leads Charlotte with 18 points.

Joel Embiid has 21 points and four rebounds to lead Philly.

Tyrese Maxey and Kelly Oubre Jr are back for the Sixers.

Spurs Defeat Bucks, 127-95

San Antonio got out to a 37-24 lead after the first quarter and won this game in wire-to-wire fashion.

They also won all four individual quarters in this game.

The Spurs shot 55 percent from the field and 40 percent from 3-point range.

Victor Wembanyama had 23 points, 15 rebounds and six assists.

Stephon Castle collected 22 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists.
