What we know after Sunday’s games:

  • Nikola Jokić (22 pts, 14 reb, 14 ast) notched his 192nd career triple-double (2nd in NBA history) in Denver’s win against Portland. It was his 85th triple-double through three quarters, good for the most since 1997-98 (play-by-play era).
  • The Knicks scored 32+ points in every quarter of their 145-113 win over Washington to win their sixth consecutive game. Karl-Anthony Towns (26 pts, 16 reb) recorded his league-leading 50th double-double.
  • Minnesota picked up a gritty 10-point win over the Celtics for the first time in Boston in 7,685 days (March 6, 2005) behind Bones Hyland (23 pts, 3 3PM) and Jaden McDaniels (19 pts, 6 reb, 3 ast).
  • Devin Booker (25 pts, 6 ast) and Jalen Green (20 pts, 7 ast) combined for 45 points on 17-for-30 shooting (56.7%) to snap a five-game losing streak for the Suns.

Suns halt 5-game skid

Devin Booker (25 pts, 3 3PM, 6 ast), Jalen Green (20 pts, 7 ast) and Collin Gillespie (16 pts, 4 3PM, 4 reb) drive a 120-98 win over the Raptors. The Suns snap their five-game losing streak and avenge a 122-115 loss in Toronto on Mar. 13.

Phoenix finishes the victory shooting 18-for-40 (45%) from 3-point range and 46-for-89 (51.7%) overall.

Scottie Barnes leads five Raps in double figures scoring with 17 points on 8-for-9 shooting and 5 rebounds, 6 assists and 2 steals in 25 minutes.

Devin Booker has a game-high 25 points on 9-for-15 shooting in 31 minutes, and Jalen Green adds 18 points (7-14 FG), 7 dimes and one block to help the Suns hold a 104-77 lead over Toronto with 8:28 remaining in the game.

With no Anthony Edwards (knee) tonight, Bones Hyland (23 pts, 3 3PM, 3 ast), Jaden McDaniels (19 pts, 5 reb, 3 ast) and Ayo Dosunmu (17 pts, 8 reb, 6 ast, 1 stl, 2 blk) fuel a hard-fought 102-92 victory for the Wolves over the Celtics. McDaniels’ 15 points in the third quarter mark a career-best in any frame for the sixth-year wing.

Jaylen Brown (29 pts, 7 reb, 4 ast) and Jayson Tatum (16 pts, 11 reb, 2 ast, 2 stl) pace the C’s in the losing effort, snapping Boston’s four-game win streak in the process. The Celtics fall to 37-1 when leading by 15 at any point of a game, as the offense went stagnant in the fourth quarter.

The win for Minnesota is their first in Boston since March 6, 2005, an astounding 7,685 days ago.

Deni Avdija and the Portland Trail Blazers visit Nikola Jokić and the Denver Nuggets for the first of two primetime matchups on this light Sunday of pro hoops (5 ET, NBA TV). Portland (9th in West) will attempt to win a fourth consecutive game and continue their late season push to secure a spot in the SoFi Play-In Tournament, while Denver (5th in West) tries to make up ground in a packed race for top six.

In the national spotlight, Julius Randle and the Timberwolves take on Jaylen Brown and the Celtics on Sunday Night Basketball (8 ET, NBC/Peacock). Minnesota looks to right the ship without Anthony Edwards (knee), and Boston takes aim at a fifth consecutive victory.
