What we know about Sunday’s games

• The offseason didn’t stop Oklahoma City’s reign. They are now the only undefeated team left in the league and the first to reach 7 wins, completing a dominant win over the Pelicans on Sunday. In the victory, Gilgeous-Alexander reached 20-plus points for the 79th straight game, tying him for the third-longest such streak in NBA history.

• The Bulls lost their first game of the season, falling 128-116 to the Knicks. Brunson, Towns, and Anunoby each scored at least 20 points, while Jordan Clarkson added 15 off the bench.

• The Spurs also lost their first game of the season, losing to the Suns, 130-118. Phoenix shot extremely well from the field, making 58.2% of their shots, including 19-for-33 from deep. Booker led the way with 28 points and 13 assists, becoming the first Phoenix Sun to total 200+ points and 50+ assists in the first seven games of the season.

• Luka Dončić and the Lakers shone in a 130-120 victory over the Heat. Dončić picked up his first triple-double of the season and 83rd of his career.

Lakers grab the W

Miami closed the gap in the third quarter, but the Lakers turned it back up in the fourth and kept the Heat at bay. In the end, LA picked up the victory, 130-120.

The Lakers got standout performances from Luka, Reaves, and LaRavia, who combined for 80 points.

Luka secured a triple-double with 29 points, 11 rebounds, and 10 assists.

Reaves was also dropping dimes, dishing out 11 assists to go with 26 points,

Luka in his bag

Dončić ends up one-on-one with Bam on the perimeter and makes it look easy with the crossover, before getting to the rim for the lay-in.

Luka is up to 20 points and one rebound shy of a triple-double.

The Lakers’ lead is down to just 2, 102-100, with 11 minutes to go in the game. This is setting up for an exciting finish on NBA League Pass.

11:10 PM / NOVEMBER 2, 2025

Must-see dunk

Lost momentarily in the abundance of highlights from the Heat and Lakers was this explosive dunk from Keldon Johnson against the Suns.

Unfortunately, for Johnson and the Spurs, they were unable to overcome the Suns’ hot shooting and lost 130-118.

Booker was excellent for Phoenix, scoring 28 points on an ultra-efficient 10-for-15 shooting and adding 13 dimes.

One half to go

The Heat and Lakers have been putting on a show this evening, combining for 140 first-half points and numerous highlights.

At the center of most of them, Luka Dončić. He’ll likely be on triple-double watch later after scoring 16 points and adding 5 rebounds and 6 assists so far. He also has three steals.

Dunks and dimes

The first quarter between the Heat and Lakers has been an electric, high-scoring affair with no shortage of highlights.

Since Luka’s circus shot, we’ve had Davion Mitchell set up Bam Adebayo for the ferocious throwdown,

Austin Reaves goes over his head to dial up Jaxson Hayes for the triple,

Luka launch a cross-court pass to Jake LaRavia for the bucket,

Then, if that wasn’t enough, Reaves tosses up the lob to Bronny James for the two-handed flush.

The Lakers lead the Heat, 43-36, after a quarter of play.

9:55 PM / NOVEMBER 2, 2025

Acrobatic finish

Luka Dončić is off to an amazing start this season, and this successful circus shot is symbolic of how hot he is running right now.

Chicago was just one of three undefeated teams left in the league, but they just fell to the Knicks, 128-116, and are now 5-1 on the season.

Brunson, Towns, and Anunoby were all excellent in the W for New York, with OG’s defense often on display,

Anunoby finished with 21 points, 2 rebounds, 4 assists, 2 steals, and a block.

Brunson was on fire early, setting the tone for the Knicks’ victory, and finished with 31 points.

Red hot Suns

Phoenix spent the first half on fire, scoring 70 points on 24-for-38 shooting, including a blistering 73.3% from long range.

Part of that efficiency has been backup big man Nick Richards, who has 10 points on 4-for-4 shooting.

The 5-0 Spurs face an 18-point deficit at the break.

Knicks in control

Moving to 6-0 is looking like a tall task for the Bulls, as they trail the Knicks 105-87 late in the third quarter.

Castle climbs

The undefeated Spurs have struggled out of the gate against the Suns, trailing 37-26 in the 2nd quarter.

However, Stephon Castle has managed to make an impact with 3 rebounds, 2 assists, a block, and 5 points, including this dunk.

Surprisingly, despite being on the floor for 12 minutes, Victor Wembanyama has yet to score for San Antonio.

The 76ers roll to 5-1, with a 129-105 win over the now 0-6 Nets.

Sunday slams

We have a quartet of games that are live right now, and just had a series of highlight-level dunks take place in succession.

First, the rookie, Collin Murray-Boyles, goes up strong with two hands off the Brandon Ingram feed for the finish,

Then Luke Kennard finds a cutting Jalen Johnson who lifts off for a one-handed jam,

Finally, it’s Edgecombe again who explodes with authority,

All four games are at halftime now, with the Raptors holding a 53-47 lead over the Grizzlies, the Hawks have a 52-50 advantage over the Cavaliers, the 76ers scored 73 first-half points and have an 18-point lead on the Nets, while the Hornets posted a 71-48 advantage over the Jazz at the break.

The Knicks and Bulls have just gotten underway on NBA League Pass!

Rookies balling

The No. 3 and No. 4 picks in the 2025 NBA Draft are both in action tonight, and making things happen for their squads.

No. 4 selection Kon Knueppel is shooting the lights out in Charlotte, scoring 17 points, making three of his five long-range attempts, helping guide the Hornets to a 60-36 advantage over the Jazz late in the second quarter.

Meanwhile, in Brooklyn, the No. 3 pick, VJ Edgecombe, is providing fireworks. He gets the swipe, finds the runway, and takes off to hit the two-handed jam.

Edgecombe has 6 points, 2 assists, and 2 steals, and the 76ers have a 54-43 lead on the Nets at the midpoint of the second quarter.

6:40 PM / NOVEMBER 2, 2025

He’s on fire

Kelly Oubre Jr. has erupted, scoring 22 first-quarter points on 9-for-11 shooting to lead the 76ers to a 40-37 advantage over Brooklyn after a quarter of play.

With Joel Embiid (injury recovery) sidelined, someone besides Tyrese Maxey (12 points) would need to step up, and Oubre Jr. has answered the call.

6:20 PM / NOVEMBER 2, 2025

Coming out of the gates hot

Cleveland jumped out to a 7-0 lead on the Hawks in an instant, and has since seen their lead increase to 18-7.

The men behind the flurry of points, Donovan Mitchell (9 points) and De’Andre Hunter (5 points), run the break here off of Hunter’s steal, who also gets the slam on the Spida dish.

5:56 PM / NOVEMBER 2, 2025

Thunder strike Pelicans, reach 7-0

Oklahoma City dominated the action Sunday, outscoring New Orleans in all four quarters on its way to a convincing 137-106 victory.

Gilgeous Alexander finished the night with 30 points and made history in the process.

Hartenstein was a force in the paint, nearly completing a triple-double, by scoring 14 points, grabbing 14 boards, and handing out 8 dimes.

5:40 PM / NOVEMBER 2, 2025

Hammering it home

The Thunder have yet to relent on the Pelicans, or their rim, as Ajay Mitchell serves up Isaiah Hartenstein for a thunderous finish.

Oklahoma City is now up by 30, 120-90, at the midpoint of the final frame.

5:23 PM / NOVEMBER 2, 2025

Thunder rolling

Coming into Sunday, Oklahoma City is just one of three teams still undefeated, and the Pelicans are one of two teams yet to earn their first victory.

Both of those statements are on pace to remain true this evening, with the Thunder holding a commanding 26-point lead over New Orleans going into the fourth quarter.

The star of the show thus far has been none other than Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, who’s racked up 30 points on 8-for-14 shooting, including this beautiful reverse finish.
