Chicago Bulls sign Jordan Hawkins to two-way contract

The 2023 lottery pick joins Chicago after spending his first three seasons with the New Orleans Pelicans.

Jordan Haskins and the Grizzlies agreed to mutually part ways after Memphis acquired him via a four-team trade with the Pelicans in the 2026 offseason. Hawkins was drafted by New Orleans with the 14th overall pick in the 2023 NBA Draft after winning a national title with the UConn Huskies.

The Chicago Bulls announced today the team has signed guard Jordan Hawkins to a two-way contract. In a related move, Chicago has waived guard Isaiah Stevens.

Hawkins, 6-5, 190, has appeared in 174 games (20 starts) during his NBA career, spending the first three seasons of his career with the New Orleans Pelicans. Selected 14th overall in the 2023 NBA Draft by New Orleans, Hawkins owns career averages of 8.0 points (.374 FG%, .348 3FG%), 2.3 rebounds and 1.0 assists in 18.2 minutes.

During the 2024-25 campaign, Hawkins posted single-season career highs in scoring average (10.8), total points (604) and three-pointers made (110), while matching a single-season high in rebounds per game (2.8). The Gaithersburg, Md. native has collected 15 career games with 20-plus points and two career games with at least 30 points, including a career-high 34 points versus the Dallas Mavericks on Jan. 13, 2024.

Prior to the NBA, Hawkins played two seasons collegiately with the University of Connecticut (2021-23), winning a national championship with the Huskies in 2023. Hawkins recorded college career clips of 11.8 points, 3.0 rebounds and 1.0 assists in 23.2 minutes, earning a Big East All-Freshman Team selection in 2021-22 and All-Big East First Team, NCAA All-Tournament Team and NCAA Tournament All-Region Team honors in 2022-23.

Hawkins will wear No. 15. Chicago now has three players under two-way contracts (Tobe Awaka, Jordan Hawkins, Jaylin Sellers).
