Hukporti was helped off the court by former Knicks teammate Karl-Anthony Towns after sustaining the non-contact injury just six minutes into his 76ers preseason debut. An MRI on Tuesday confirmed Hukporti ruptured his right Achilles tendon.
The third-year Germany native began his NBA career in New York after being drafted with the 2024 58th overall pick by the Dallas Mavericks, who traded him to the Knicks on draft night.
Hukporti served as a depth piece for the Knicks, appearing in 79 games in two seasons, including their 2025-26 championship campaign.
