Shai Gilgeous-Alexander reaches new heights with 100-game scoring streak.
Very few players in the history of the NBA share records with the great Wilt Chamberlain. Although he played more than 50 years ago, most, if not all, of his records still stand today.
He’s about to have company on one list, because Shai Gilgeous-Alexander has joined him in the record books.
Gilgeous-Alexander finished Monday’s 119-103 win over the Grizzlies with 31 points. Knocking down a smooth jumper at 11:34 in the fourth quarter, Gilgeous-Alexander joined Chamberlain as the only players in NBA history to score 20 or more points in 100 straight games.

Check out the best moments from Gilgeous-Alexander’s streak:
Opening Night Heroics
- 35 points vs. Houston Rockets on Oct. 21
On a night when the Thunder received their championship rings, the 2025 Kia MVP delivered a signature performance with 35 points while shooting 12-for-26 from the field.
Despite only scoring five points by halftime, Gilgeous-Alexander flipped the switch and had 30 points in the second half, while hitting game-winning free throws to seal the Thunder’s 125-124 win.
It was the sixth time an opening night game went into double overtime and the first since 2005.
NBA Finals Rematch
- 55 points vs. Indiana Pacers on Oct. 23
What better way to top your opening night performance than by delivering a career-high 55 points?
That’s exactly what SGA did, as the Thunder won their second straight double-overtime game, defeating the Pacers 141-135 in a Finals rematch. It was the first time a team has gone into double-overtime in each of their first two games of the season.
It was the fifth time where SGA had 50 points or more, tying Russell Westbrook for the most by a Thunder player. Additionally, Gilgeous-Alexander became the fourth player in NBA history with 85+ points through the first two games of the season, joining Anthony Davis, Michael Jordan and Wilt Chamberlain (who did it three times) as the only players to do this.
His 90 points are the 5th-most through the first two games of a season in NBA History.
Revenge is a dish best served cold
- 37 points vs. Trail Blazers on Nov. 23
How do you answer the bell versus a team that handed your team their only loss of the year so far?
Well, if you’re SGA, you drop 37 points in three quarters en route to a 122-95 win.
SGA reached 90 straight games with 20-plus points, putting him three away from passing Wilt Chamberlains’ 92-game streak for the second-longest in league history.
SGA now has 78 games in his career where he has reached 30+ points before the fourth quarter. Since the play-by-play era, he has tied Tracy McGrady for 10th most in that time.
First 40-ball of the season
- 40 points vs. Minnesota Timberwolves on Nov. 26
Gilgeous-Alexander channeled his inner Michael Jordan as he scored 40 points despite battling an illness as the OKC Thunder defeated the Minnesota Timberwolves 113-105 as they clinched Group A in the Emirates NBA Cup.
Gilgeous-Alexander shot 12-for-19 from the field and led OKC to their 10th straight victory, becoming the fifth team in NBA history to start a season 18-1.
During that game, SGA scored 20+ for a 92nd time. He tied Chamberlain for the second-longest streak in NBA history, one Chamberlain compiled from Feb. 26, 1963 to March 18, 1964.
Gilgeous-Alexander tallied his 17th 30-point game of the year, with the next closest NBA player having 10 games.
SGA shows no signs of slowing down
- 38 points vs. Golden State Warriors on Dec. 2.
When in doubt, give the ball to SGA.
That’s what the Thunder did as they defeated the Warriors 124-112, the last team to run through the league with a similar amount of dominance.
SGA dropped 38 points and made a key 3-pointer with three minutes to go. Gilgeous-Alexander also knocked down a season-high 5 3-pointers in the victory.
