2026 NBA Summer League: Mavericks get scoring punch from bench in win over Grizzlies

LAS VEGAS — Darin Green Jr. scored 18 points off the bench to help the Dallas Mavericks defeat the Memphis Grizzlies, 96-88, at the 2026 NBA Summer League on Monday.

A whopping 51 of the Mavs’ 96 points came off the bench.

The Mavericks held a three-point cushion when the fourth quarter started. The Grizzlies came close to evening things up, as the game was tied eight times, but Dallas didn’t allow Memphis to mount a fourth-quarter comeback.

Green Jr. added five assists, three rebounds and two steals to his team-leading 18 points. Jaden Springer notched 17 points and Kaodirichi Akobundu-Ehiogu had 16 while shooting 7-for-8 from the floor.

First-round pick Sergio De Larrea (16 points, 12 assists) and Jorge Diaz-Graham (11 points, 10 rebounds) sparked the starting unit for a Mavericks team that shot 50.8% from the floor and 46.2% from 3.

Cameron Boozer, the No. 3 overall pick in the 2026 NBA Draft, led all players with 21 points while adding eight rebounds, three assists and three steals.

2025 No. 11 overall Cedric Coward added 17 points, 12 rebounds and four assists, and Olivier-Maxence Prosper added 18 points with five boards. No other Memphis player scored in double digits, and the team shot 37.2% from the floor and 28.6% from 3-point range.

The Mavericks will play their next Summer League game against the Thunder at Thomas & Mack Center on Thursday (4 ET, Prime Video). Meanwhile, the Grizzlies will play on a back-to-back when they take on the Golden State Warriors at the Pavilion on Tuesday (7 ET, ESPN).
