LAS VEGAS – The Milwaukee Bucks overcame a prolific double-double from 2026 first-round pick Hannes Steinbach with a dominant first half and productivity from their second unit to propel the Bucks to a 110-91 victory over the Charlotte Hornets in a 2026 NBA Summer League matchup at The Pavillion on Wednesday.

No. 13 overall pick in the 2026 NBA Draft Nate Ament led the Bucks’ charge with 23 points, which came on the strength of 53.8% shooting. The Bucks shot 46.7% overall, including a stellar 42.2% from 3-point range, and saw three second-unit players Boopie Miller, Luke Travers and Zack Austin score in double digits on the way to a 43-21 advantage in bench points.

A lopsided first half portended a blowout, as the Bucks held a 10-point advantage after one and a 16-point edge by intermission. The Hornets could only make a one-point dent in their deficit in the third quarter, helping tee up a comfortable double-digit victory for Milwaukee.

Steinbach led the Hornets with a game-high 27 points along with 15 rebounds. Tidjane Salaün registered 21 points, three rebounds and four steals.  The No. 18 overall pick in the 2026 NBA Draft Christian Anderson dished out a game-high 10 assists.

The Hornets return to action Friday against the Sacramento Kings in a consolation game, while the Bucks will meet a to-be-determined opponent on Saturday in a playoff matchup.
