2026 NBA Draft

Consensus Mock Draft: Where things stand on the day of the 2026 NBA Draft

With the 2026 NBA Draft beginning tonight (8 p.m. ET, ABC/ESPN), here's how the consensus shakes out for the lottery selections.

Robin Lopez and David Fizdale name their most intriguing draft prospects for 2026.

2026 NBA Draft: Complete coverage

The Consensus Mock Draft is a compilation of the best mock drafts from around the web. We bring them together to provide a solid estimate of how the Draft could play out. All 10 reviewed mocks are fresh heading into Wednesday’s event.

  • Count on the Top 4 looking familiar. By any measure, a clear top tier has emerged, with AJ Dybantsa, Darryn Peterson, Cameron Boozer and Caleb Wilson enticing the mocks with superstar potential.
  • And the rest of the Lottery selections as well: Nine players appear in the lottery on all 10 mocks we surveyed. It’s a surprise, given only 14 spots. Keaton Wagler, Darius Acuff Jr., Mikel Brown Jr., Brayden Burries and Yaxel Lendeborg round out the bunch. Kingston Flemings and Aday Mara just miss out with nine.
  • After the top four, it appears to be a guard-heavy grouping, which could keep another frontcourt player from being selected in the top 10.
  • Wagler and Acuff dominate the next selections, with Wagler off the board at No. 5 in eight of 10, while nine mock drafts have Acuff at either No. 6 or No. 7. Mara and Tennessee product Nate Ament seem to be the only bigs in the mix with Flemings, Brown and Burries in the next grouping.
  • Astoundingly, a third Michigan big is taking up space in the lower lottery, with Morez Johnson Jr. joining Lendeborg and Mara after jumping into the final selection spot on the board. He’s at No. 14 in eight of 10 mocks.
  • Johnson knocks Labaron Philon Jr. out, and Flemings drops from No. 7 to No. 8 (as Brown rises), but otherwise everything has mostly held for the last month.
  • In a break with recent tradition, the likely Lottery isn’t international-heavy. The highest mock placement is Karim López at No. 13, a Mexican import to the New Zealand Breakers. Germany’s Hannes Steinbach, who played a season at Washington, earned four looks at No. 13 as well, a high for the selection, though his tally didn’t pull him into the consensus lottery overall.

MOST COMMON PICKS

Below are where the player is most commonly projected, with the number of mock drafts in parentheses. For example, AJ Dybantsa is projected to go first in 10 of 10 updated mock drafts listed below:

No. 6 (Nets): Darius Acuff Jr. (5)

No. 7 (Kings): Darius Acuff Jr. (4)

No. 8 (Hawks): Aday Mara (4)

No. 14 (Hornets): Morez Johnson Jr. (8)

Consensus Mock Draft Top 14

To calculate the consensus, we award 14 points for every mock draft in which the player went first overall, 13 for second, continuing to one point for the final lottery pick. The player with the highest point total represents the top overall selection, which is as follows:

1. AJ Dybantsa | Washington Wizards

BYU | Position: F | Height: 6-8½
Status: Freshman
Most Common: 1 (10)

With expectations reaching absurd levels, Dybantsa delivered at every stage of his season at BYU. He’s got the frame, the game and the charisma to carry it all.

2. Darryn Peterson | Utah Jazz

Kansas | Position: G | Height: 6-4½
Status: Freshman
Most Common: 2 (8)

A prototype two-guard, Peterson delivered thrills while struggling with cramping issues. A solution has been identified, but to what degree?

3. Cameron Boozer | Memphis Grizzlies

Duke | Position: F-C | Height: 6-8¼
Status: Freshman
Most Common: 3 (8)

A Blue Devil legacy, Boozer rewrote the family record book with a stunning season in Durham. His post presence and preternatural passing could refine well with age.

4. Caleb Wilson | Chicago Bulls

North Carolina | Position: F | Height: 6-9¼
Status: Freshman
Most Common: 4 (8)

A pair of unrelated hand injuries sidelined a stellar season in Chapel Hill. Can Wilson pull together the total package, or will he leave onlookers frustrated?

5. Keaton Wagler | LA Clippers

Illinois | Position: G | Height: 6-5
Status: Freshman
Most Common: 5 (8)

A combo guard with size, Wagler’s feel for the leather should keep this connector moving up boards even with a more ground-bound game.

6. Darius Acuff Jr. | Brooklyn Nets

Arkansas | Position: G | Height: 6-2
Status: Freshman
Most Common: 6 (5)

Most GMs would be wise to sign up the latest candidate to emerge from the John Calipari point guard pipeline: Acuff has everything but the height.

7. Mikel Brown Jr. | Sacramento Kings ⬆️

Louisville | Position: G | Height: 6-5
Status: Freshman
Most Common: 6 (4)

Battling a back injury that ended his season early, Brown Jr. showed enough promise to entice anyone seeking a scorer’s touch.

8. Kingston Flemings | Atlanta Hawks ⬇️

Houston | Position: G | Height: 6-2½
Status: Freshman
Most Common: 7, 9 (3)

Dinged for his height, Flemings delivered strong shooting performances and top-notch agility scores at the AWS Draft Combine.

9. Brayden Burries | Dallas Mavericks

Arizona | Position: G | Height: 6-3¾
Status: Freshman
Most Common: 9 (5)

Switchable and impossible to pin down, Burries projects to be a two-way terror, and potentially a game-changer on defense.

10. Aday Mara | Milwaukee Bucks

Michigan | Position: C | Height: 7-3
Status: Junior
Most Common: 8 (4)

The Wolverine big man has continued rising through three collegiate seasons, topping out at a fluid 7-foot-3 and providing presence in the pivot.

11. Nate Ament | Golden State Warriors

Tennessee | Position: F | Height: 6-9½
Status: Freshman
Most Common: 10, 12 (3)

Rangy forward Ament has showcased slick handles out of the frontcourt and a solid jump shot, though not much else offensively to date.

12. Yaxel Lendeborg | Oklahoma City Thunder

Michigan | Position: F | Height: 6-8¾
Status: Senior
Most Common: 11, 12 (4)

Transferring from UAB, Lendeborg took over in Ann Arbor from the jump, leading the Wolverines to an NCAA Tournament championship in a single season.

13. Karim López | Miami Heat

New Zealand Breakers (Australia) | Position: F | Height: 6-8¼
Status: International
Most Common: 11 (2)

A face-up forward who can pressure defenses with the post or the pass, the Mexico international presents a prototype at the 4.

14. Morez Johnson Jr. | Charlotte Hornets 🔼

Michigan | Position: F-C | Height: 6-9
Status: Sophomore
Most Common: 14 (8)

Johnson Jr. looms as a potential two-way threat whose ceiling will be determined by the growth in his relatively limited 3-point shot.
