Signs extension with Dallas
Marshall signed a three-year pact with Dallas in July 2024 and is now set to remain with the team for the foreseeable future. The 28-year-old wing is coming off a career-best year in 2025-26, during which he averaged 15.2 points, 4.7 rebounds, 3.3 assists and 1.1 steals while shooting 51.0 percent from the floor in 29.5 minutes per game across 74 regular-season appearances (47 starts).

Almost fully recovered
Irving is close to a full recovery from ACL surgery, so he should be a full participant by the time training camp comes around in the fall. The star guard hasn't yet gotten the chance to take the floor since the Mavericks drafted Cooper Flagg last year, so it'll be interesting to see how the two mesh once they're sharing the backcourt duties.

Signs two-way deal Monday
Howard spent the first three years of his career with the Magic. Even though he averaged career-high marks in minutes (12.6) and points (5.5) per game in 55 regular-season contests in 2025-26, Howard was unable to do enough to stay in Orlando. Howard should compete for playing time at the NBA level, but if he doesn't stick around in Dallas, he should be a regular in the G League thanks to his two-way deal.
