PROFESSIONAL CAREER

Appeared in 51 games (six starts) for Cleveland during his rookie season…averaged 5.6 points, 2.3 assists and 2.1 rebounds in 12.7 minutes…scored 10+ points in 12 games and had one game with 20+ points…finished with seven points, a career-high 11 assists and one steal in 29 minutes of play in his second career start on Dec. 21 vs. New Orleans. He became the first undrafted Cavaliers rookie to record 11 or more assists since Matthew Dellavedova (4/9/14 vs DET). He was also the third Cavs undrafted rookie to dish out at least 10 assists in a regular season game in franchise history, joining Dellavedova (3 times) and Donald Sloan (4/8/12)…finished with 12 points, a career-high nine assists, three rebounds and one block in 27 minutes on Nov. 21 at PHI…recorded a career-high 21 points on 7-10 (.700) shooting from the field, including a perfect 7-7 from the free throw line, four rebounds, four assists, a game-high tying two steals and one block in 25 minutes off the bench. Porter’s 21 points were the most points scored by an undrafted Cavs rookie since Matthew Dellavedova in 2014 (21 points)…finished with 12 points, a career-high five assists, three rebounds and one steal in 16 minutes off the bench on Nov. 17 vs. DET...recorded his first career basket in the second quarter on Oct. 31 vs. NYK, finishing with 10 PTS, 4 REB, 2 AST, 2 STL and 1 BLK in 22 MIN off the bench.

BEFORE NBA

Played three seasons at Wichita State University (2020-2023) and two Junior College seasons at Vincennes University in Vincennes, Indiana...appeared in 75 games (59 starts) for the Shockers during his Division-I playing career, holding averages of 8.6 points, 4.7 rebounds and 3.6 assists in 26.1 minutes...during his senior season at Wichita State (2022-23), averaged 13.5 points, 6.2 rebounds, 4.9 assists, 1.52 steals and 1.48 blocks in 33.5 minutes, becoming the first player in program history to lead the team in rebounding, assists, blocks, and steals in the same season...He also become the second Shocker in the last 50 years (Fred VanVleet) to record a triple-double, finishing with 15 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists on February 26 at Tulane...during his two seasons in Junior College, helped lead the team to an NJCAA national championship in 2019.
