Mitchell Robinson attended Chalmette High School in Louisiana, where he earned McDonald’s All-American, Naismith Trophy All-America Honorable Mention, and MaxPreps All-America Honorable Mention honors as a senior in 2017. After opting to forgo college and prepare for the 2018 NBA Draft on his own accord, Robinson posted a standout rookie season highlighted by an NBA-leading 24 blocked 3-pointers, a second-overall finish in blocks per game, Knicks rookie records for both total blocks and consecutive games with at least one block, and a selection to the 2018-19 NBA All-Rookie Second Team.
