Week 16 Watchlist: The best game to watch for all 30 teams

Get ready for this week’s full slate of games as next week’s All-Star break looms.

Two of the East’s top teams — the Pistons and Knicks — will square off in a key Week 16 showdown.

With the trade deadline rapidly approaching (Feb. 5 at 3 p.m. ET) and NBA All-Star 2026 on the horizon (Feb. 13–15), Week 16 features 49 games, including must-see matchups involving all 30 teams.

Note: All games are available on League Pass unless otherwise noted.

Eastern Conference

Atlanta Hawks

  • Schedule: Tuesday at Heat, Thursday vs. Jazz, Saturday vs. Hornets
  • Game To Watch: Tuesday at Heat: It’s a rematch of the East’s 2025 SoFi Play-In Tournament finale that determined the eighth seed in the playoffs, which No. 10 Miami won over No. 8 Atlanta in overtime to qualify for the playoffs and end Atlanta’s season.

Boston Celtics

  • Schedule: Tuesday at Mavericks (NBC/Peacock), Wednesday at Rockets, Friday vs. Heat, Sunday vs. Knicks (ABC)
  • Game To Watch: Sunday vs. Knicks (ABC): The last time the Celtics faced the Knicks, Jaylen Brown went off for 42 points to lead Boston to a 123-117 win, which evened the season series at 1-1. Who will win the rubber match in this matchup of the top three teams in the East?

Brooklyn Nets

  • Schedule: Tuesday vs. Lakers, Thursday at Magic, Saturday vs. Wizards
  • Game To Watch: Thursday at Magic: When these teams last met on Jan. 7 in Brooklyn, Paolo Banchero hit a game-winning 3-pointer at the overtime buzzer as the Magic won. Can Brooklyn avenge that loss when these teams meet Thursday in Orlando?

Charlotte Hornets

  • Schedule: Monday vs. Pelicans, Thursday at Rockets, Saturday at Hawks
  • Game To Watch: Monday vs. Pelicans: Charlotte enters Week 16 on a six-game win streak. A victory over New Orleans on Monday would make it seven in a row, matching the Hornets’ longest win streak of the 21st century.

Chicago Bulls

  • Schedule: Tuesday at Bucks, Thursday at Raptors (Prime Video), Sunday vs. Nuggets
  • Game To Watch: Sunday vs. Nuggets: In their first matchup this season on Nov. 17 in Denver, the Bulls’ depth outshone the Nuggets’ stars as Chicago won the bench battle, 66-9, and the game, 130-127. The Bulls will look to repeat that feat as the game moves from the Mile High City to the Windy City.

Cleveland Cavaliers

  • Schedule: Wednesday at Clippers, Saturday at Kings
  • Game To Watch: Saturday at Kings: On Sunday, the three-team deal between the Cavs, Kings and Bulls became official, sending De’Andre Hunter to Sacramento and Dennis Schröder and Keon Ellis were sent to Cleveland. The first reunion game comes this weekend as the Cavs visit the Kings.

Detroit Pistons

  • Schedule: Tuesday vs. Nuggets, Thursday vs. Wizards, Friday vs. Knicks (Prime Video)
  • Game To Watch: Friday vs. Knicks (Prime Video): After Detroit’s remarkable turnaround last season, New York ended the Pistons’ first playoff appearance in six years in six games in the opening round. In their first rematch this season, the Pistons rolled to a 31-point win.

Indiana Pacers

  • Schedule: Monday vs. Rockets, Tuesday vs. Jazz, Friday at Bucks, Sunday at Raptors
  • Game To Watch: Friday at Bucks: The Pacers and Bucks may both be outside the SoFi Play-In Tournament picture, but when it comes to a rivalry game, records rarely matter. After the Pacers ended the Bucks’ season in the first round of last year’s playoffs, Milwaukee has won the first two meetings this season.

Miami Heat

  • Schedule: Tuesday vs. Hawks, Friday at Celtics, Sunday at Wizards
  • Game To Watch: Tuesday vs. Hawks: The Heat lived up to their name on Sunday, as they scorched the Bulls at home, leading by as many as 54 points and finishing with their largest win of the season (46-point-margin). What will Miami have in store for an encore?

Milwaukee Bucks

  • Schedule: Tuesday vs. Bulls, Wednesday vs. Pelicans, Friday vs. Pacers
  • Game To Watch: Tuesday vs. Bulls: After a 0-3 road trip pushed Milwaukee’s losing streak to five, the Bucks will look to snap that skid this week. Their first chance comes Tuesday against the Bulls, a team the Bucks have beaten twice this season. Both of those wins came on the strength of big games from Giannis Antetokounmpo, who is out with a calf injury.

New York Knicks

  • Schedule: Tuesday at Wizards, Wednesday vs. Nuggets (ESPN), Friday at Pistons (Prime Video), Sunday at Celtics (ABC)
  • Game To Watch: Sunday at Celtics (ABC): How even are the Knicks and Celtics entering Week 16? They’re both 31-18 through 49 games. They’re tied in the season series at 1-1. They’re both led by All-Star starting guards named Ja(y)len (the ‘y’ goes to Boston’s Jaylen Brown, not New York’s Jalen Brunson). The rubber match between these East contenders is a must-see.

Orlando Magic

  • Schedule: Tuesday at Thunder, Thursday vs. Nets, Saturday vs. Jazz
  • Game To Watch: Tuesday at Thunder: The Magic conclude a two-game road trip against the top two teams in the Western Conference when they take on the Thunder following a loss to the Spurs on Sunday. Can the Magic get a statement win over the defending champs as they try to climb out of the East Play-In picture?

Philadelphia 76ers

  • Schedule: Monday at Clippers (Peacock), Tuesday at Warriors, Thursday at Lakers, Saturday at Suns
  • Game To Watch: Monday at Clippers (Peacock): After a 3-0 homestand, the Sixers open a five-game West Coast trip against the Clippers. In Philly’s win on Saturday, Joel Embiid scored a season-high 40 points, his first 40+ point game in just over two years (Jan. 22, 2024, when he dropped 70). How will he follow that up in Los Angeles?

Toronto Raptors

  • Schedule: Wednesday vs. Timberwolves, Thursday vs. Bulls (Prime Video), Sunday vs. Pacers
  • Game To Watch: Thursday vs. Bulls (Prime Video): On Sunday, the Raptors earned their 30th win of the season, matching last season’s total with 31 games left. Toronto’s first chance to build on that win total comes this week when they host Minnesota and Chicago. However, the Raptors have dropped four straight against the Bulls.

Washington Wizards

  • Schedule: Tuesday vs. Knicks, Thursday at Pistons, Saturday at Nets, Sunday vs. Heat
  • Game To Watch: Tuesday vs. Knicks: The Wizards enter Week 16 having won three of their last four games. Washington’s run of success will be tested as they open the week against the top two teams in the East – the Knicks (winners of six straight) and the Pistons (8-2 in their last 10). First up, the Knicks on Tuesday in Washington, where the Wizards look to improve to 10-16 at home.

Western Conference

LeBron James and Stephen Curry will meet this week, marking their 57th career matchup.

Dallas Mavericks

  • Schedule: Tuesday vs. Celtics (NBC/Peacock), Thursday vs. Spurs, Saturday at Spurs (Prime Video)
  • Game To Watch: Saturday at Spurs (Prime Video): On Oct. 22, Dallas and San Antonio met in the season opener for both teams, as Victor Wembanyama and the Spurs spoiled the NBA debut of Cooper Flagg. The Mavs have two chances to avenge that loss this week — Thursday in Dallas and Saturday in San Antonio — the latter of which gets the national spotlight on Prime Video.

Denver Nuggets

  • Schedule: Tuesday at Pistons, Wednesday at Knicks (ESPN), Saturday at Bulls
  • Game To Watch: Tuesday at Pistons: On Jan. 27, the Pistons came into Denver and edged the Nuggets, 109-107, in the penultimate game Nikola Jokić missed before returning Friday in a win over the Clippers. With Jokić back in the lineup, can the Nuggets knock off the top team in the East to open Week 16?

Golden State Warriors

  • Schedule: Tuesday vs. 76ers, Thursday at Suns (Prime Video), Saturday at Lakers (ABC)
  • Game To Watch: Saturday at Lakers (ABC): Steph Curry vs. LeBron James. Saturday’s matchup marks the 57th time these two have met between the regular season (14-13 in favor of James), playoffs (17-11 in favor of Curry) and SoFi Play-In Tournament (1-0 in favor of James). That gives Curry a 30-26 all-time edge. Can Curry widen that margin when he and the Warriors visit James and the Lakers?

Houston Rockets

  • Schedule: Monday at Indiana, Wednesday vs. Celtics, Thursday vs. Hornets, Saturday at Thunder (ABC)
  • Game To Watch: Saturday at Thunder (ABC): If the playoff bracket were set today, (No. 1) OKC vs. (No. 4) Houston would be a potential West Semifinals matchup. On Saturday afternoon on ABC, the Rockets and Thunder meet for the final time this regular season. OKC leads the season series 2-0, including a double-overtime thriller on the season’s Opening Night. Can the Rockets close the week with a statement win?

LA Clippers

  • Schedule: Monday vs. 76ers (Peacock), Wednesday vs. Cavaliers, Friday at Kings (Prime Video), Sunday at Timberwolves (ABC)
  • Game To Watch: Sunday at Timberwolves (ABC): The Clippers are a league-best 17-4 since Dec. 20, rising from 14th to ninth in the West during that span. Can the Clippers stay hot as they face a trio of top-six teams in their respective conferences this week? That includes Minnesota, which enters Week 16 fifth in the West and riding a four-game win streak.

Los Angeles Lakers

  • Schedule: Tuesday at Nets, Thursday vs. 76ers, Saturday vs. Warriors (ABC)
  • Game To Watch: Saturday vs. Warriors (ABC): In addition to the James vs. Curry history discussed above, this is also an ABC showcase game for league scoring leader Luka Dončić, who enters Week 16 averaging 33.6 points per game. Dončić dropped 43 points against the Warriors on Opening Night, but it was Golden State that got the win.

Memphis Grizzlies

  • Schedule: Monday vs. Timberwolves (Peacock), Wednesday at Kings, Friday at Trail Blazers, Saturday at Trail Blazers
  • Game To Watch: Monday vs. Timberwolves (Peacock): The Grizzlies look to snap a season-long, six-game losing streak when they host the Timberwolves on Monday. It is Memphis’ last home game (9-15) before the Grizzlies open a five-game road trip on Wednesday.

Minnesota Timberwolves

  • Schedule: Monday at Grizzlies (Peacock), Wednesday at Raptors, Friday vs. Pelicans, Sunday vs. Clippers (ESPN)
  • Game To Watch: Monday at Grizzlies (Peacock): On Saturday in Memphis, Anthony Edwards (33) and Julius Randle (27) combined for 60 points to lead the Wolves to their fourth straight win. They’ll look to keep the streak going as the Wolves and Grizzlies run it back to open Week 16.

New Orleans Pelicans

  • Schedule: Monday at Hornets, Wednesday at Bucks, Friday at Timberwolves
  • Game To Watch: Friday at Timberwolves: Zion Williamson vs. Anthony Edwards. Two players who can make a viral highlight in a split second have yet to face each other this season. Williamson missed the first two meetings in early December, but is back in the Pelicans’ lineup as they try to cool Edwards and the Wolves, who enter the week on a four-game win streak.

Oklahoma City Thunder

  • Schedule: Tuesday vs. Magic, Wednesday at Spurs (ESPN), Saturday vs. Rockets (ABC)
  • Game To Watch: Wednesday at Spurs (ESPN): This marks the fifth and final regular-season meeting of the season between these teams, who enter the Week first (OKC) and second (San Antonio), respectively, in the West. San Antonio won the first three head-to-head matchups before the Thunder responded with a 119-98 win on Jan. 16. Which team will close the regular-season series on a high note?

Phoenix Suns

  • Schedule: Tuesday at Trail Blazers (NBC/Peacock), Thursday vs. Warriors (Prime Video), Saturday vs. 76ers
  • Game To Watch: Thursday vs. Warriors (Prime Video): Phoenix and Golden State enter the week at the top of the West SoFi Play-In Tournament field — the Suns (30-20) seventh and the Warriors (27-33) eighth. While Phoenix leads in the standings, Golden State leads the season series 2-1 and can clinch it with a win on Thursday.

Portland Trail Blazers

  • Schedule: Tuesday vs. Suns (NBC/Peacock), Friday vs. Grizzlies, Saturday vs. Grizzlies
  • Game To Watch: Tuesday vs. Suns (NBC/Peacock): The Blazers enter Tuesday’s game against Phoenix looking to snap a five-game skid that has them at the bottom of the West SoFi Play-In Tournament field in 10th place. It is also a matchup of Western Conference All-Star reserve guards in Devin Booker (five-time selection) and Deni Avdija (first-time selection).

Sacramento Kings

  • Schedule: Wednesday vs. Grizzlies, Friday vs. Clippers (Prime Video), Saturday vs. Cavaliers
  • Game To Watch: Wednesday vs. Grizzlies: The Kings look to avoid their first double-digit losing streak since 1998 when they host the Grizzlies on Wednesday in what could be the Kings’ debut of the recently acquired De’Andre Hunter.

San Antonio Spurs

  • Schedule: Wednesday vs. Thunder (ESPN), Thursday at Mavericks, Saturday vs. Mavericks (Prime Video)
  • Game To Watch: Wednesday vs. Thunder (ESPN): After winning their first three matchups against the defending champs, the Spurs were overwhelmed by OKC in their latest matchup on Jan. 13. OKC held San Antonio to a then-season-low 98 points (a mark that has since been topped once), while getting 34 points from reigning Kia MVP Shai Gilgeous-Alexander. Who will take Chapter 5 in this budding rivalry between the top two teams in the West entering Week 16?

Utah Jazz

  • Schedule: Tuesday at Pacers, Thursday at Hawks, Saturday at Magic
  • Game To Watch: Tuesday at Pacers: When these teams met on Nov. 11 in Salt Lake City, the Jazz put up an NBA season-high 152 points in a win over the Pacers. Can the Jazz light up the scoreboard again as they look to snap a six-game slide on Tuesday?
