Taking a look at the Thunder, the Pistons and other top win streaks so far this season

Take a look at the top win streaks so far this season, with OKC, Detroit, San Antonio and Atlanta leading the way.

On March 18, two historic streaks occurred.

The Oklahoma City Thunder won their 10th straight game, becoming the only team this season to record two separate 10+ game winning streaks.

This latest surge also gives them five 10+ game streaks across the last two seasons (2024-2026). The Cleveland Cavaliers have the next most over that span with three such streaks in 2024-25.

Additionally, the Atlanta Hawks extended their win streak to 11, the most since the 2014-15 season where they won 19 in a row.

With that in mind, take a look at the top win streaks so far this season:

1. Oklahoma City Thunder (16 games)

Nov. 7, 2025 – Dec. 10, 2025

How did the Thunder respond to a 121-119 loss that snapped an eight-game win streak to start the season?

They started a new streak, reeling off 16 straight wins.

The Thunder put themselves in historical conversations after improving to 24-1. The 16-game streak marked the longest in OKC-era franchise history and tied the 2015-16 Golden State Warriors for the best 25-game start in league annals.

During this stretch, the Thunder outscored opponents by 437 points, marking the largest margin of victory through 25 games in NBA history.

2. Detroit Pistons (13 games)

Oct. 29, 2025 – Nov. 24, 2025

After making the playoffs for the first time since the 2018-19 season as a No. 6 seed, the Pistons took another leap, winning 13 straight in the early parts of the 2025-26 campaign.

During their 137-135 overtime win over the Wizards on Nov. 10, 2025, Cunningham made NBA history as he became the first player to total 45+ points, 10+ rebounds, 10+ assists and 5+ steals in a game since steals and blocks were recorded in 1976.

He joined Isiah Thomas as the only Pistons to total a 45-point triple-double. Cunningham finished with 46 points, 12 rebounds and 11 assists.

The Pistons’ 13-game win streak was tied for the longest streak in franchise history.

The Pistons started the year 15-2, matching the 2005-06 season for the best start in franchise history.

3. Oklahoma City Thunder (12 games)

Feb. 27, 2026 – March 23, 2026

On March 18, the Oklahoma City Thunder became the second team in NBA history to record 20 or more wins by 20+ points in multiple seasons.

They have 22 such wins in the 2024-25 season, and with March 18’s result, they now have 20 and counting in 2025-26. They join the Milwaukee Bucks as the only franchises in the NBA to accomplish such a feat.

On March 23, the Thunder won their 12th straight game. They became the only team this season with multiple win streaks of 12+ games. There have only been three win streaks with 12+ games this season: Thunder (2x) and Pistons (1x).

This is the 22nd win of 20+ points by the Thunder this season, tying last season for most in a single season in franchise history.

T-4. San Antonio Spurs (11 games)

Feb. 1, 2026 – March 1, 2026

The Spurs won their 11th game in a row on Feb. 26, going undefeated in the month of February. It’s the third time in Spurs’ history to go undefeated in a calendar month.

It was the second time this season in which they had a win streak of eight or more games. This was also the first time in which the Spurs had scored 120+ points in six straight games in over 40 years.

In the Spurs 126-110 win over the Brooklyn Nets on Feb. 26, Wembanyama made history.

Through 45 games this season, Wembanyama has: 1066 points, 502 rebounds and 128 blocks. He’s the first player since Duncan in 2002-03 to record at least 1K+ points, 500+ rebounds and 125+ blocks through the first 45 games into a season.

T-4. Atlanta Hawks (11 games)

Feb. 22, 2026 – March 18, 2026

On March 16, Jalen Johnson notched his second straight triple-double, giving him 13 for the season, which are the most in a season by a player under 25 since Luka Dončić in 2019.

Atlanta’s 10th win saw Nickeil Alexander-Walker have a special night, posting career highs in points (41) and 3-pointers made (9). In the first half alone, he had 24 points and five 3-pointers and did not slow down in the second half.

5. Los Angeles Lakers (9 games)

March 6, 2026 – March 21, 2026

The Los Angeles Lakers are on a heater since March 6.

This nine-game win-streak matches the longest win streak for the Lakers since their 2019-20 championship season.
