Taking a look at the Thunder, the Pistons and other top win streaks so far this season

Take a look at the top win streaks so far this season, with Oklahoma City, Detroit, Charlotte and Toronto leading the way.

Victor Wembanyama and the Spurs have had two separate eight-game win streaks this season.

The San Antonio Spurs rolled into Detroit to take on the Pistons on Monday with a pair of win streaks on the line.

The Spurs extended their win streak to nine games this season with a 114-103 victory, halting the Pistons’ own post All-Star break surge and snapping their five-game win-streak.

Victor Wembanyama was all over the court as he finished with 21 points, 17 rebounds and six blocks.

It’s his seventh career game with at least 20 points, 15 rebounds and 5 blocks as he’s tied for third most such games in Spurs franchise history. He recorded his 10th game this season with 5 or more blocks, which leads the NBA.

Wembanyama also joined Spurs legends David Robinson and Tim Duncan as the only players in Spurs franchise history to record at least 20 points, 15 rebounds, 5 blocks and 8 offensive rebounds in a game.

Devin Vassell led the Spurs with 28 points and seven 3-point makes.

With that in mind, take a look at the top win streaks so far this season:

1. Oklahoma City Thunder (16 games)

Nov. 7, 2025 – Dec. 10, 2025

How did the Thunder respond to a 121-119 loss that snapped an eight-game win streak to start the season?

They started a new streak, reeling off 16 straight wins.

The Thunder put themselves in historical conversations after improving to 24-1. The 16-game streak marked the longest in OKC-era franchise history and tied the 2015-16 Golden State Warriors for the best 25-game start in league annals.

During this stretch, the Thunder outscored opponents by 437 points, marking the largest margin of victory through 25 games in NBA history.

2. Detroit Pistons (13 games)

Oct. 29, 2025 – Nov. 24, 2025

After making the playoffs for the first time since the 2018-19 season as a No. 6 seed, the Pistons took another leap, winning 13 straight in the early parts of the 2025-26 campaign.

During their 137-135 overtime win over the Wizards on Nov. 10, 2025, Cunningham made NBA history as he became the first player to total 45+ points, 10+ rebounds, 10+ assists and 5+ steals in a game since steals and blocks were recorded in 1976.

He joined Isiah Thomas as the only Pistons to total a 45-point triple-double. Cunningham finished with 46 points, 12 rebounds and 11 assists.

The Pistons’ 13-game win streak was tied for the longest streak in franchise history.

The Pistons started the year 15-2, matching the 2005-06 season for the best start in franchise history.

T-3. Charlotte Hornets (9 games)

Jan. 22, 2026 – Feb. 7, 2026

The Hornets turned their season around with a nine-game win streak, tying their second-longest franchise mark. This was their longest single‑season win streak since the 1998-99 season.

During their 126-119 win over the Atlanta Hawks on Feb. 7, rookie sensation Kon Knueppel made history from 3-point range. He totaled his 14th game this season with at least 5 3-point makes, passing Saddiq Bey for most such games by a rookie in NBA history.

The Hornets’ nine-game win streak was snapped by the East-leading Pistons on Feb. 9.

T-3. Toronto Raptors (9 games)

Nov. 11, 2025 – Nov. 26, 2025

The Raptors made a leap this season with a pair of All-Stars in Brandon Ingram and Scottie Barnes.

In November, Toronto won nine games in a row, marking the fifth time in franchise history where they had a streak of nine wins or more. The Raptors had their best start through 19 games since the 2019-20 season.

In the 97-95 win over the Indiana Pacers on Nov. 26, 2025, Ingram called game with a midrange jumper. He became the second-fastest player in Raptors franchise history to reach 400 points, doing so in only 19 games.

T-3. San Antonio Spurs (9 games)

Feb. 1, 2026 – Feb. 23, 2026* (active)

The Spurs started the month of February with nine straight wins.

It was the second time this season in which they had a win streak of eight or more games. This was also the first time in which the Spurs had scored 120+ points in six straight games in over 40 years.

In the Spurs 139-122 win over the Sacramento Kings on Feb. 21, Wembanyama had himself a game with 28 points, 15 rebounds and four blocks.

During the Spurs’ win streak, Wembanyama tallied 224 points and 31 blocks.
