The Houston Rockets are taking a page from their past by unveiling new uniforms for the 2026-27 season.
Houston will sport yellow-and-red uniforms that harken back to the team’s heyday of the 1980s, but also play into its modern era. Additionally, the team’s Statement Uniforms — typically black and red — received an update.

Per the team, the Rockets “R” logo — which symbolizes two rockets launching through a Saturn-inspired basketball hoop — has changed from a white look to one that features hints of yellow.
The uniforms also feature the “Dunkstronaut,” which has been updated with a new look that “honors the Rockets’ history while evolving it for the future,” the team said. The team’s wordmark has been “modernized” with a “futuristic edge” with a return of the lowercase “t” in the words “Houston” and “Rockets” to pay homage to the team’s past.
