The deal would add Robinson-Earl to a Pacers squad that is dealing with multiple injuries at the start of the season besides the season-long absence of star point guard Tyrese Haliburton following an Achilles injury suffered during Game 7 of the 2025 NBA Finals.
Other key players from last season’s Eastern Conference champions are also on the mend in Bennedict Mathurin, T.J. McConnell, Andrew Nembhard and Obi Toppin. Toppin was the most recent addition to the list of injured players, as he is expected to miss three months with a stress fracture in his foot.
Robinson-Earl was the 32nd overall pick in the 2021 NBA Draft and has played four seasons in the NBA with the Oklahoma City Thunder and New Orleans Pelicans. He averaged 6.3 points and 4.8 rebounds across 66 games with New Orleans last season, and played with the Dallas Mavericks during preseason and training camp before ultimately missing out on a final roster spot.
This is the second roster move the Pacers have made within the past week to combat their growing list of injuries, as they also signed three-time AT&T Slam Dunk champion Mac McClung to a contract on Tuesday.
NBA.com will have more on this developing story soon.
