Pascal Siakam interview after being named the 2025 Bob Cousy Eastern Conference Finals MVP in the Pacers' 4-2 series win.
The Indiana Pacers’ magical run to the 2025 NBA Finals was fueled by youthful, fast-paced basketball. But when it came to experience and hard-earned plays in the biggest moments, Pascal Siakam was the steadying force they needed.
Siakam was named the Eastern Conference Finals Most Valuable Player after scoring 31 points in the Pacers’ series-clinching Game 6 victory over the New York Knicks. The three-time All-Star averaged 24.8 points on 52.4% shooting (50% from 3) in the series, edging teammate Tyrese Haliburton for the award five votes to four.

Pacers fans, who had not cheered on a Finals team in 25 years, roared as Siakam hoisted the Larry Bird Trophy little more than a year after Indiana acquired him via trade with Toronto.
The move paid off immediately, complementing a promising young Indiana core with the All-Star and NBA championship pedigree Siakam earned with the Raptors.
“It’s been such an amazing experience for me so far,” Siakam said. “From the first day I landed here, the love has been amazing.”
Fresh off eliminating the Knicks 4-2, Siakam and Indiana now move on to face the top-seeded Oklahoma City Thunder in the NBA Finals, which tips off Thursday (8:30 ET, ABC).
