Andrew Bogut (1984): Bogut earned Player of the Year when he played for the Utah Utes throughout his four-year college career, making him the top pick in the 2005 NBA Draft. He was the first Australian player to be selected first overall and he finished third in Rookie of the Year voting in his debut season. He spent his first seven seasons with the Milwaukee Bucks, leading the league in blocks per game in 2010 (2.6 blocks). Bogut was traded to the Golden State Warriors in 2012 and helped them capture the 2015 NBA title. Bogut closed his career with short stints in Dallas, Cleveland and LA before retiring in 2019. The Aussie averaged 9.6 points, 8.7 rebounds, 2.2 assists and 1.5 blocks throughout his 14-year career.
Johnny Newman (1963): Newman was selected by the Cleveland Cavaliers in the second round of the 1986 NBA Draft, but it wasn’t until his sophomore season with the New York Knicks that he made an impact. Newman averaged 16 points per game in 1988 and then averaged a career-high 16.9 points per game in his first year with the Charlotte Hornets in 1990. Switching teams became commonplace for Newman, playing for the Denver Nuggets, Milwaukee Bucks, New Jersey Nets and Dallas Mavericks after that. He played for seven teams in total across his 16-year career and retired in 2002.
