2026 NBA Finals

Knicks, Spurs NBA Finals jerseys to feature 'USA 250' patches to honor America’s 250th birthday

Select game-worn patches will later be featured inside ultra-rare Topps trading cards.

Every jersey during the 2026 NBA Finals will feature a “USA 250” jersey patch to celebrate the 250th birthday of the United States of America, it was announced Monday.

According to Topps, “the patches will be removed after each game, with select game-worn patches later featured inside ultra-rare trading cards.”

The NBA announced in January its partnership with America250 and Stand Together to provide service and hands‑on volunteerism in support of communities across the United States throughout 2026. In addition, the NBA and its teams are taking part in America250’s AmericaGives program, which, as of March, has surpassed 2.5 million total volunteer service hours.

The NBA has also joined Stand Together’s Be the People Leadership Council, an initiative aiming to unite millions of Americans and solve local challenges ahead of the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence.

“The 250th birthday of the United States offers the NBA Family a wonderful opportunity for reflection and civic engagement, and we’re proud to help bring communities together through hands-on service,” said Barbara Bush, NBA Senior Vice President of Social Impact and Inclusion. “The NBA family has long believed in the unifying power of basketball and the importance of taking collective action to strengthen our communities.”

To celebrate the start of the Knicks-Spurs NBA Finals, the NBA, in partnership with the United Service Organizations, will host an NBA Finals viewing party at the USO Camp Hansen Center in Okinawa, Japan, for service members, creating a high-energy, community-focused environment centered around Game 1 of the Finals on Wednesday, June 3 (8:30 ET, ABC). The NBA x USO Finals Viewing Party at Camp Hansen is part of a collaborative effort between the NBA and the USO to connect service members overseas with major sporting moments back home.
