NBA Fantasy: Week 3 power rankings

Breaking down the top 10 fantasy players with the 2026-27 NBA season underway.

Victor Wembanyama recorded a season-high 110 High Score fantasy points in the Spurs’ Wednesday win.

Our Fantasy Power Rankings have heated up in Week 3 after some monster performances over the last few days. We update these rankings every week based on performance while also projecting ahead. Check out who made the top 10 this week.

10. Alperen Sengun, Houston Rockets

Last Week: NR↑

Sengun may not have a 30-point game yet this season, but does have four double-doubles, including a 17-point, 12-rebound, 10-assist triple-double against the Timberwolves on Wednesday. He isn’t the first scoring option in Houston, but he has some of the best playmaking and rebounding skills in the NBA, which has been key to the Rockets starting 7-2 with the second-best offensive rating in the league. Sengun quietly ranks fifth in both total fantasy points (49.5) and High Score points (55.1).

9. Tyrese Maxey, Philadelphia 76ers

Last Week: 10↑

Maxey has seen his usage slip slightly compared to last season with the addition of Jaylen Brown and LeBron James. Having said that, nobody regrets this fantasy draft pick right now, as his efficiency has improved compared to last season. Maxey is a consistent, high-octane player who continues to see a ton of minutes as the 76ers’ No. 1 option on offense.

8. Jayson Tatum, Boston Celtics

Last Week: 9↑

Tatum last played Nov. 2 against the Rockets (did not play Nov. 4 due to rest), but in his five games prior, he averaged 31.4 points, 6.4 rebounds and seven assists. His ability to get to the free-throw line this season has been phenomenal, averaging 9.9 attempts (second in the NBA with Paolo Banchero out). Tatum has always been an elite, all-around player, but his shortened 2025-26 season saw him get more active on the glass and in the playmaking department while his scoring took a dip. This season, he’s an offensive machine, averaging 27 points, and should remain a top-10 fantasy player.

7. Cooper Flagg, Dallas Mavericks

Last Week: 6↓

After a brilliant rookie season, Flagg is having an even more impressive sophomore season, averaging 24.3 points, 6.3 rebounds and 6.3 assists. His game has complemented Kyrie Irving well and vice versa. Without much in terms of a consistent scoring punch on the roster besides these two, the Mavericks have put significant minutes on Flagg to start the season. He has at least 39 minutes in three of the last five games. We saw that with Tyrese Maxey last season to the benefit of his fantasy managers, and we’re seeing that now with our seventh-best fantasy player on our Week 3 rankings.

6. Cade Cunningham, Detroit Pistons

Last Week: 7↑

It has been more of the same for Cunningham since the start of the season. Detroit is off to an impressive 6-2 start, spearheaded by his all-around prowess. He has been just a few rebounds and assists shy of multiple triple-doubles already. Something to note: Cunningham’s defense has been much better statistically through the Pistons’ first eight games. He’s averaging 1.6 steals and 1.1 blocks along with 24 points, 5.6 rebounds and 7.6 assists. Like many players on this list, if Cunningham isn’t scoring at his highest level, he is almost certainly getting active in other statistical departments.

5. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Oklahoma City Thunder

Last Week: 5

Jalen Williams, Chet Holmgren and Cason Wallace all being injured hasn’t stopped Oklahoma City from holding steady in the postseason hunt. The Thunder are 6-2, and Gilgeous-Alexander has been forced to turn it up a notch, as if he could go higher than back-to-back Kia Most Valuable Player awards. Speaking of back-to-back, he most recently faced the Cavaliers in two straight games, and dropped 43 and 42 points, along with 8 assists in both contests. It’s so unfortunate to see Oklahoma City down so many players in the rotation, but Gilgeous-Alexander has kept the team more than afloat.

4. Giannis Antetokounmpo, Miami Heat

Last Week: 4

The Heat are 3-5, but Antetokounmpo has been a huge bright spot here. Over the last seven days, Antetokounmpo is averaging 29.3 points, 14.7 rebounds, 7.7 assists and two blocks. The concern entering the season was that Bam Adebayo would eat up some of Antetokounmpo’s touches and rebounds. The opposite has happened. Adebayo has hit double-digit rebounds just once this season. This is Antetokounmpo’s team and the incredible numbers should continue.

3. Nikola Jokić, Denver Nuggets

Last Week: 3

Jokić is coming off one of his best performances from Wednesday night: 32 points, 10 rebounds and 11 assists in a win over the Raptors. It was a strong outing that was overshadowed by Wembanyama’s insane performance on the same night. Jokić is as consistent as they come, but without an injury to the top two players above him, No. 3 on our rankings may be the ceiling.

2. Luka Dončić, Los Angeles Lakers

Last Week: 1↓

What more can we say about Luka Dončić? Wednesday night, he became the first player since Michael Jordan (1988-89) to reach 300-plus points through his first eight games of the season. The Slovenian sensation has hit the 40-point mark in five of those eight games, averaging 38.5 points, 8.1 rebounds and eight assists so far. Dončić has always been a fantasy juggernaut, but this offense has been otherworldly. He has the Lakers sitting at 7-2 right now with the NBA’s best offensive rating.

1. Victor Wembanyama, San Antonio Spurs

Last Week: 2↑

Wembanyama put up the stat line of the season Wednesday night. 52 points, 24 rebounds and 8 blocks in a one-point win against the Mavericks. This was good for a whopping 110 High Score points. He is the first player with 50-plus points, 20-plus rebounds and 5-plus blocks since Bob McAdoo in 1973-74. After a slow start for his lofty standards, Wembanyama has been the most dominant player in the sport. He also has his Spurs rolling with a six-game winning streak. If he continues games like this, nobody can touch him for the No. 1 spot.
