Scott Wedman (1952)
Wedman is considered one of the greatest players to come out of the University of Colorado. He was the sixth overall pick in the 1974 NBA Draft by the Kansas City-Omaha Kings following a stellar collegiate career. Wedman finished third in Rookie of the Year voting in a remarkable rookie campaign and followed that up with an All-Star appearance in his second season. Wedman went on to make another All-Star appearance in 1980, averaging a career-high 19 points, 5.7 rebounds, 2.1 assists and 1.2 steals per game. He finished Second-Team All-Defense that year as well.
Wedman played just one more season in Kansas City before spending the next two seasons with the Cleveland Cavaliers. He closed his career with five years in Boston and officially retired in 1987. Wedman averaged 13.2 points, 4.8 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 0.9 steals per game. His most prized achievements were winning titles with the 1984 and 1986 Celtics.
