Paul Millsap (1985)
Millsap was the 47th pick in the 2006 NBA Draft by the Utah Jazz, finishing sixth in Rookie of the Year voting in a surprising start to his career. Millsap received Sixth Man of the Year votes in his third and fourth seasons but hit his stride when he joined the Atlanta Hawks in 2013. That was his first of four-straight All-Star campaigns, helping the Hawks become one of the best teams in the NBA during that span. Those were his only four seasons in Atlanta, playing four years in Denver before closing his career with the Brooklyn Nets and Philadelphia 76ers in 2022. He averaged 13.4 points, 7.1 rebounds, 2.2 assists, 1.2 steals and 1.0 blocks throughout his 16-year tenure.
Bobby Portis (1995)
Portis was the 22nd pick in the 2015 NBA Draft by Chicago and spent four seasons with the Bulls. He spent one year with the New York Knicks and Washington Wizards after that before joining the Bucks in 2020. He’s been with them since then, helping them win a championship in 2021. The big man has been one of the best per-minute producers throughout his career, averaging 11.9 points and 7.1 rebounds across 23 minutes a night. He’s also finished Top 3 in Sixth Man of the Year voting in two of the last three years and could be in line for more votes this year.
