Caldwell Jones (1950)
Jones had a decorated three-year stint in the ABA with the San Diego Conquistadors before moving over to the NBA in 1976 with the 76ers.
A great defender and rim protector, Jones made First-Team All-Defense in two of his six seasons with the Sixers. He even finished 30th in MVP voting in 1981, averaging 7.2 points, 10 rebounds, 0.7 steals and 1.7 blocks per game. Jones then spent time with the Houston Rockets, Chicago Bulls, Portland Trail Blazers, and San Antonio Spurs before officially retiring in 1990. The big man averaged 7.9 points, 8.2 rebounds, 1.4 assists, 0.5 steals and 1.8 blocks throughout his 17-year professional career. His 1.8 blocks per game rank 37th all-time, while his 2,297 career blocks rank 14th in NBA history.
