LAS VEGAS — The Washington Wizards defeated the Brooklyn Nets 102-96 in the NBA 2K26 Summer League at Thomas & Mack Center on Sunday.

There were 10 ties and nine lead changes in this game, with neither team leading by more than 10 points. That was Washington in the third quarter, outscoring Brooklyn in the second and third quarters, 52-40. The Wizards shot 49% from the field while holding the Nets to 44% shooting. Washington was much more aggressive, shooting 23-for-33 (70%) from the free-throw line while Brooklyn shot just 8-for-15 (53%). They also had 10 steals and eight blocks, while outscoring the Nets 19-10 in fast-break points.

The Wizards (1-1) were led by Tre Johnson, who finished with 21 points and three rebounds. Bub Carrington collected 17 points, six rebounds and three assists. Alex Sarr accrued 16 points, 12 rebounds, two assists and eight blocks. Kyshawn George generated 10 points, nine rebounds, six assists and five steals, while Will Riley had 16 points and three assists.

The Nets (0-2) were led by Drew Timme, who tallied 30 points, five rebounds and three assists. Tyson Etienne totaled 15 points and three assists. Egor Demin amassed 12 points, four rebounds and four assists, while Danny Wolf had eight points, 10 rebounds, two assists, three steals and four blocks.

Both teams return to action on Tuesday, with Washington playing the Philadelphia 76ers and Brooklyn facing the New York Knicks.
